📚✏️Study Skills Session 2 of 2 ✏️📚

We have successfully concluded our second study skills workshop, at a school we support. Our Registered Counsellor, shared various tools with the students, including methods for retaining learned information.

One of the session's highlights was students' surprising themselves with how much information they retained during this session.

It is beneficial for learners to have access to and be exposed to a range of tools that cater to their individual strengths. We are honoured to have been able to share these tools with the learners. Naomi En Manie Grobler

At the beginning of this year during our strategic meeting, we had a look at what skills our staff can have and want to share (in addition to therapeutic skills), as an investment into the communities we serve.

One offering that was particularly important and is often only asked for when it's too late, was study skills for learners. We reached out to a school we already support and asked if this is something learners could benefit from. We targeted grade 7 learners and the reception was great!

The learners engaged enthusiastically with our Registered Counselor (who had additional training to be able to do this well). Pictured here was session 1 of 2. We're excited to be partnering with the school and it's learners in a different way!

Our AGM was a success! 🙌

Thank you to everyone who attended and who sent their well wishes.
We are so appreciative of the support we receive. From our board, staff members, former staff members, funders, partners and collaborators, we could not do the work we do in isolation.

A special mention goes to Helène Smit (on the right, pictured with our Director, Carien De Klerk). Today marks her 14year anniversary, working at GHPS. We are immensely grateful for her heart for clients, her skillset and her time.
