CPAS End of Year Outing - The President Surprise 2025 - to the Whale Coast town of Kleinmond. …And what a surprise it turned out to be when club member Cobus van den Berg opened the doors to his collection of (mostly French) cars. Thank you to and Gerdi for their generous reception, hospitality and the feast!

The 35th Anniversary Festival – Club Peugeot Afrique du Sud

Over the course of the weekend, Peugeot enthusiasts from across South Africa came together to honour 35 years of camaraderie, motoring passion, and the unmistakable spirit of “the Lion.”

The 35th Anniversary Festival of Club Peugeot Afrique du Sud, held in the charming West Coast town of Hopefield, was an outstanding success and a truly memorable experience - a celebration worthy of the marque’s proud heritage. As always, our classic Peugeots proved to be the best conversation starters wherever we stopped, bringing enthusiasts together, sparking stories, and celebrating our shared passion for the Lion marque.

We cherished old friendships and forged new ones. We more or less stayed our course, saw the ocean and experienced how our stalwarts still have it in them to storm hills and cross plains.

It was a special honour to welcome our Belgian Peugeot friends Alain Piefort, Guy Bosschaerts, Jos Schiphorst, Ludo Schiphorst, and Hendrik van den Planken along with our long-time friends from the Netherlands, Marga and Loek Blom.

Special appreciation goes to Greg McManus and the Loubser brothers, Ian and Johan, whose dedication and attention to detail ensured the weekend unfolded seamlessly and in true Peugeot style.

With 35 years of memories behind it and many more adventures ahead, Club Peugeot Afrique du Sud continues to embody the enduring passion, friendship, and joie de vivre that define the Peugeot spirit.

Franschhoek Bastille Festival 2025

Franschhoek Bastille Festival, now in its thirty-third year, continued its tradition of honouring the valley’s French heritage with a weekend brimmed with wine and cheese tastings, artisan food stalls, the ever-popular festival country market, live music, pop-up performers, and the ever-popular French Classic Car display.

This year the event unveiled a brand-new location in the heart of the village where festivalgoers were greeted by an array of classic Citroëns, Peugeots and Renaults at the entrance of the festival’s central attraction. These French classics dating back from the 1940s up to the stylish modern classics added fresh charm to the annual celebration of French culture.

Merci, Franschhoek! 🇫🇷✨

What a celebration! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s Bastille Festival.

The French Classic Car Clubs are so proud to be part of a community that shows up, dresses up, and brings the spirit of Franschhoek to life in such a beautiful way.

Until next year, vive le Franschhoek! 🇫🇷✨

We look forward to the possibility of welcoming the iconic to South Africa. This is what an electric vehicle should embody bold, dynamic, and unmistakably Peugeot. With its classic design language and modern performance, it stands apart from the overly futuristic designs that often dominate the EV market. A true lion in sheep’s clothing.
