Prochorus is a community-based organisation based in Kayamandi, just outside the beautiful Stellenbosch, South Africa. It has grown over the past years and now also has branches in Johannesburg, Riebeek Kasteel, Delft and Somerset West. Prochorus Community Development (PCD) was established in 1996 and is a registered non-profit, section 21 organisation(2008/012209/08) that owes its existence to the consolidation of several projects.

Meinhardt Esterhuizen is a 15-year-old boy who is aiming to become the youngest male to ever swim the False Bay crossing.
He is raising funds for Prochorus while doing this.
