*About us:*
Kayamandi Women and Children's Development Project is a community-based organisation working to support women and children in Kayamandi through development programmes, nutrition, and care services.

*Job Purpose:*
To prepare nutritious meals for beneficiaries in a clean, safe, and timely manner, and to maintain hygiene standards in the kitchen.

*Key Responsibilities:*
- Plan and prepare daily meals according to the menu and dietary needs
- Ensure food is prepared hygienically and stored correctly
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and utensils
- Monitor food stock and report shortages to the coordinator
- Assist with serving meals and cleaning up after service
- Comply with health and safety regulations

*Requirements:*
- Experience as a cook (community kitchen / NPO experience an advantage)
- Knowledge of basic nutrition and food hygiene practices
- Ability to cook for large groups
- Good personal hygiene and time management
- Trustworthy and able to work as part of a team

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR PROGRAM OFFICER

Job title: Program Officer

Job purpose: To implement administrative activities and facilitate developmental initiatives to
ensure the CNDC delivers its services.

Job duties and responsibilities:
1. Facilitation of awareness programs or workshop interventions conducted by the organization.
2. Mobilize beneficiaries, community members and stakeholders to attend awareness programs or workshop intervention conducted by the organization.
3. Facilitate skills development training, poverty reduction initiatives and any other developmental initiative conducted by the organization.
4. Encourage, motivate, and create pathway for beneficiaries to participate in skills development training, poverty reduction initiatives and any other developmental initiatives conducted by the
organization.
5.Ensures that organisations are compliant with the Health and Safety Act (Ensuring of Health and Safety Certificate and as per Norms and Standards)
6. Provide input in the development of a proper budget for the organization that address each line item.
7. Write and compile quarterly reports (progress report, AFS, Narrative report and compiling registers - completed correctly and diligently.)
8. Ensure implementation of a solid communication protocols with the department of social development (Sustainable Livelihoods Program) as well as other relevant stakeholders of the
organization.
9. Department of Social Development| Community Development
Ensure proper records management in place (soft and physical: keeping records of your monthly purchased items such as food and resources, keeping record of assets)

Requirements: Minimum of NQF level 5 qualification or higher – with no experience
A 3-year degree in Community Development or equivalent qualification will be advantageous.

Competences and skills:
Understanding community development practices, Understanding NPO environment and its legislation.
ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
Ability to use MS (MS word and MS Excel)
Interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse individuals and groups.
