The article starts with the words... " Beauty is a curse for the turquoise dwarf gecko from Tansania." They are being stripped of the land for the growing demand in Europe where people put them in glass cages and call them pets. Thanks to enormous efforts and a ban on the trade these little creatures are slowly making their way back in their natural habitat. At Exotic Animal World it is our unwavering opinion that the trade in exotic animals for pets should grind to a complete halt globally. Our motto, Appreciate don't keep, is a serious message we deliver during our education sessions and our animal demonstrations over weekends. All our animals were previously kept as pets and then surrendered to us. Visitors are welcome and the proceeds are ploughed back into the care of the animals.
