A Beautiful Soul
In Loving Memory of Marinda
On the 17th of August,
a beautiful soul was called away,
to walk with her Heavenly Father
in a place of peace and endless day.
Marinda was truly something special,
a gift to everyone she knew,
with her beautiful blue eyes
and a laugh that warmed you through.
At Vita Nova Centre,
she was more than just a resident—
she was family, she was loved,
and her presence was a blessing sent.
She may have had Down syndrome,
but that never defined who she was.
Marinda showed us what pure love is,
and reminded us to treasure the little things because...
She was a bok for sports,
and a Springbok supporter through and through.
Oh, how her heart would celebrate
when the green and gold came through!
She idolised Eben Etzebeth,
and Bryan Habana too,
and when the Springboks lost a game,
there was no hiding how she felt—it was true!
She loved her parties,
her good food, and having fun,
and wherever Marinda was,
you could be sure there would be laughter and joy.
Her smile could brighten a room,
her laughter could chase the sadness away,
and the love she gave so freely
will live on every day.
To those at Vita Nova Centre
who cared for her, loved her and knew her well,
there are no words big enough
to say the difference she made.
She touched so many hearts
without ever needing to try.
And although we had to say goodbye,
her memory will never die.
We will miss those sparkling blue eyes,
that beautiful, contagious laugh,
her excitement, her spirit, her love,
and all the precious memories she left behind.
Fly high, dear Marinda,
your earthly journey is now through.
Rest safely in your Father's arms—
Heaven is blessed to have you too.
And when the Springboks take the field,
we know we'll think of you,
cheering from Heaven with all your heart,
dressed proudly in your green and gold too.
You were loved.
You were cherished.
You were one of a kind.
And you will forever be a part of our hearts.
Rest peacefully, beautiful Marinda.
Until we meet again. 💙🏉💚💛
