🎉 Congratulations to the newly elected 2027 Youth Leaders! 🌟

A very special congratulations to all the students who have been chosen to serve as elected school Leaders for 2027! We are incredibly proud of each one of you and excited to see what you will accomplish in this new role.

We would also like to acknowledge and celebrate the fact that 47 out of 51 of the elected students at Hoërskool Die Anker have taken part in our EMIT Youth Leadership Training. Your willingness to attend, participate, learn new skills, and grow as young leaders is something worth recognising.

🙌 A heartfelt word of thanks goes to the Headmaster and dedicated teachers of Hoërskool Die Anker, whose commitment and encouragement ensured that these leaders could successfully complete the EMIT program. Your support has been vital in shaping the future leaders of tomorrow, and we honour your role in this achievement.

The training is only the beginning. As EMIT Youth Leaders, you now have the opportunity to put what you have learned into action, to encourage others, take responsibility, lead by example, and make a difference wherever you are.

🔥 EMIT FAMILY — THE 24-HOUR PRAYER WATCH BEGINS! 🔥

Today we begin something very special.
For the next 24 hours, more than 200 members of the EMIT family will join together in prayer. From one prayer slot to the next, there will not be a single minute when someone is not standing before the Lord on behalf of EMIT, our people and the nations we serve. 🌍🙏
But today is not primarily about what we can do for EMIT. It is about turning our eyes toward the One who called us, who has sustained us, and who holds our future in His hands.

For 24 hours, let us put aside our worries, our pressures and our own solutions and simply seek God.
Let us worship Him.
Let us listen to Him.
Let us trust Him.
Let us surrender to Him.
Let us believe Him.
Our confidence is not in our resources, our abilities, our plans or our partnerships.
Our confidence is in the Lord.
“Be still, and know that I am God.” - Psalm 46:10

EMIT belongs to Him. The people we serve belong to Him. The future belongs to Him.

So let's begin this prayer watch with expectant hearts and complete dependence on God.

We have seen God’s faithfulness before, and we believe we will see it again!

🌍🔥 ONE EMIT. ONE DAY. ONE PRAYER WATCH.

We are approaching the start of our 24 hours of fasting and prayer, and I am becoming increasingly expectant about what God wants to do among us.

From 6:00 AM tomorrow until 6:00 AM Friday, leaders, staff, facilitators, country representatives, project leaders and board members will be joining together across different nations and time zones.
Think about that! For 24 hours, someone from our EMIT family will be praying every 30 minutes!

Let’s prepare our hearts tonight and believe God for something beyond what we can accomplish through human strength alone.

“Unless the Lord builds the house…” - Psalm 127:1

⏰ EMIT PRAYER WATCH — WE’RE ALMOST THERE! 🙏🔥

As we get closer to our 6:00 AM start, I want to encourage everyone to prepare spiritually.

Clear your schedule where possible. Quiet your heart. Spend some time in worship and the Word. Come ready—not simply to ask God for things, but to seek His presence and listen to His voice.

Tomorrow, believers across our EMIT family will be standing together in prayer for provision, protection, direction and breakthrough.

There is power when we seek God together and in unity!
