As you all know, kabomedi/ staying at your girlfriend’s home as a man is frowned upon by society however, it is one of the many true stories in the lokshin. Another reality is that KABOMEDI kumnandi (it’s fun), kuyahlonishwa (there’s respect), kuyaspendwa (you spend money), kuwarm (it’s warm), right! In the spirit of kabomedi and kuyaspendwa, the space is open for business—anyone is welcome to come through and sell their products.

We’re calling on you to help us build the HOS Community Library. All you need to do is drop off a book 📚 during the Creative Writing Workshop for teens, facilitated by Poet/Photographer Kabelo Mofokeng and Thobile Phudi, a Creative Writing student and film enthusiast from Sol Plaatje University.

Please join us for great music, poetry, and great vibes. Details below

Forests are hotbeds of biodiversity, harbouring over 70 % of all terrestrial animal species. We now know just how essential they are to water cycles and climate regulation. But this precious ecosystem is under threat from massive deforestation, fires, and diseases caused by pest proliferation. Solutions to halt this decline need to be commensurate with the urgency of the situation.
