NYELETI LIGHTHOUSE FOOD SECURITY PROGRAMME 2026

From young people to community changemakers!

In 2026, the Nyeleti Lighthouse Food Security Programme is being championed by young people participating in a Food Security Learnership, who are gaining practical skills while contributing to a more food-secure and sustainable community.

This programme is about more than growing vegetables. It is about growing skills, creating opportunities, fighting food insecurity and empowering young people to become producers and leaders in their communities.

🌱 We grow food.
👩🏾‍🌾 We grow skills.
🤝 We grow communities.
💚 We grow hope for tomorrow.

🌸 HAPPY WOMEN’S DAY FROM NYELETI LIGHTHOUSE! 🌸

From Nyeleti Lighthouse, we celebrate, honour and salute each and every woman. The mothers, daughters, sisters, grandmothers, leaders, entrepreneurs, caregivers, professionals, community builders and dreamers who continue to make a difference every single day. 💜

Today, we recognise your strength, resilience, courage and immeasurable contribution to our families, communities and society. You carry stories of sacrifice, overcome challenges with grace, and continue to inspire generations to rise.

May every woman know that she matters, her voice matters, her dreams matter, and her presence matters. 👑

Let us not only celebrate women today, but commit ourselves to creating a society where women are respected, protected, empowered and given equal opportunities to thrive.

To every woman in our community and beyond: keep rising, keep shining, keep leading and keep breaking barriers. Your light is powerful. Your story is valuable. Your future is limitless. 💪🏽🌸

Happy Women’s Day 2026! ❤️

🌱 Giving Back to Grow Together! 🌱

Nyeleti Lighthouse NPO is proud to have donated a 20-metre hosepipe to our sister organisation, Peo-Entle Organisation, in support of their food garden at Morakapula Adult Learning Centre. 🚿🌿

This contribution will help ensure the garden is well-watered and productive, enabling it to provide fresh, nutritious vegetables to the community. 🥬🥕🍅

When organisations work together, we create stronger communities and a brighter future for all. 🤝

Together we grow. Together we serve. 🌱

🇿🇦 Happy Nelson Mandela Day! 💙💛

Today we honour the life and legacy of Tata Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela by remembering that real change begins with each one of us.

We spent our 67 minutes of community services with the beautiful Mrs Soweto finalist ladies. At Nyeleti Lighthouse NPO, we believe that hope shines brightest when we serve others. This Mandela Day, let's dedicate 67 minutes to making a difference in our communities—whether it's mentoring a young person, planting a tree, feeding a family, cleaning our neighbourhood, or simply lending a helping hand.

"It always seems impossible until it's done." – Nelson Mandela

Together, we can build stronger communities, restore hope, and create a better tomorrow.

✨ Every Action Counts. Be the Light.

Happy Mandela Day! 🇿🇦❤️
