πŸ“ Today, the Ubuhlebethu My Journey Team was honoured to be invited to the Kheth’Impilo Community Wellness Outreach in Duncan Village Ward 1. Together with the Eastern Cape Department of Health and other stakeholders, we engaged with community members by providing information, support, and referrals on HIV prevention, sexual and reproductive health, psychosocial support, career guidance, and overall wellness services.

We were also privileged to meet the MEC for Health, Ntandokazi Capa, and witness her commitment to improving access to healthcare services within our communities. Her presence highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in promoting health, wellness, and empowerment for all.

These outreach initiatives play a vital role in bringing essential health and social services closer to the people, empowering individuals to make informed choices about their health and future. We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of this impactful day and to continue amplifying the voices of young people within our communities.

🚨 BIG NEWS FOR HIV PREVENTION πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦πŸ’‰

Lenacapavir has officially arrived in South Africa β€” a groundbreaking HIV prevention injection taken only twice a year! πŸ‘πŸ½ This is a huge step forward in helping people who struggle with taking daily PrEP pills.

The rollout will focus on key populations and high HIV-burden communities, including:
✨ AGYW (Adolescent Girls & Young Women)
✨ S*x workers
✨ MSM
✨ Transgender people
✨ Pregnant & breastfeeding women

Facilities in BCM municipality are expected to benefit as South Africa expands access to HIV prevention services. 🌍

As the programme under Ubuhlebethu NPO, this gives us another powerful tool to strengthen HIV prevention awareness, sexual health education, and support for young women in our communities. πŸ’œ

Lenacapavir can help reduce stigma, improve protection, and give young people more freedom, privacy, and convenience in protecting themselves against HIV.

Together, we continue empowering communities and changing lives. βœŠπŸ½πŸ’œ

Today, 16 May 2026, we recognise International Boys’ Day β€” a reminder that boys matter, their voices matter, and their futures matter.

Today is about more than celebration. It is about acknowledging the challenges boys face, supporting their emotional and mental well-being, and encouraging them to grow into strong, compassionate, confident men.

Behind every man is a story.
Behind every story is a journey.

The boy who is encouraged today becomes the man who leads tomorrow.
The boy who is heard today becomes the man who speaks with confidence tomorrow.
The boy who is loved, guided, and supported today becomes the man who changes lives tomorrow.

Every boy deserves love, guidance, opportunity, and the belief that he can become the man he was created to be.

Let us continue to raise boys with strength, respect, kindness, purpose, and hope.

πŸ’™ Happy International Boys’ Day πŸ’™
