After the recent flooding in Pretoria most people residing near our Soshanguve centre lost their homes and were left stranded, GROOTfm 90.5 and Kerksondermure came to the rescue as usual and provided 60 food parcel hampers that consists of

1×5kg Spar Maize meal,1x2l Refreshhh fizzy drink,1x1l Fusion juice(concentrate),1x200g Frisco coffe,1 x500g Do good meal pack,1x175g Lemon creams,1x400g Yum Yum peanut butter,1x 1kg Selati sugar,2x knorr packet soup,1x200g Freshpak 80 Rooibos teabags,1x 200g Imana Soya mince,1x Bull Brand corned meat300g,1x500g Salt,1x 410g Koo mix veg,1x410g Koo baked beans,1x450g Hugos Jam,1x400g Lucky Star Pilchards,1x100g Tasty treats Wafers

Most of the families 's food were damaged by the rain ,their houses and shacks as well clothes,furnitures were damaged by the heavy rains and flooding,

Most of the dog houses were damaged as well,We have enough pallets,We just need either a cordless nailgun or a automatic screw gun attachment(that attaches to a drilling machine,A cordless grinder to start building dogs kennels which we are going to give out for free,Which will be given to dog owners that will agree to get their dogs sterilized

As usual..This Friday we did our "Walk the dog campaign" Whereby children comes to our centre to get educated about animal welfare,Wash their dogs and walk their dogs around the block,The notion is to create a bond and everlasting friendship between children and their pets,Just after the walk we give them a bag of dog food and give the children hot cooked meals...On the pictures there are more than 50 underage children that cannot go for walks but they always come anyway,I love children and animals and seeing both of them happy is what puts a smile on my face and makes me sleep better at night

Thank you so much Yolanda Botha and Sheree for visiting us today with a generous donation of Sanitary pads,We distributed them to girls that are doing our animal awareness drama,In which we are going to incorporate drama and animal welfare awareness to reach more children .

Nb we still cook for children and also give them breakfast every morning before they go to school

We want to thank everybody that came and spent Mandela day with us,It was fun ,packed and exciting ,Our children from Walk the dog and children that are traditional dance,Were Pampered with gifts packs,toys,clothing,toiletries, Hot dogs ,We were even taught how to do sustainable gardening and also how to generate income through community farming initiatives and a whole lot more thank you GROOTfm 90.5 and staff members for making everything possible, Mit-Mak Motors , Garden Of-Life Za and STBB Illovo ,

We rely on the public and donations to sustain what we do,As we feed school children,cook for children ,feed the animals and ensure safety and protection of animals

NB schools have opened and children needs bread for breakfast as we provide them with scholar breakfast every morning

As we spend R1250 for bread per week ...Bread has always been our major expense and keep in mind we always have to provide them with fresh bread and also petrol to go buy bread,

We would appreciate food vouchers or any kind of assistance to help with bread
