We design research projects that enhance the work of cause-related and community-based NGOs in South Africa iKapa Impact is a well-established volunteer and internship program. We have formed deep relationships with non-profit organizations in the Cape Town area that work to solve a wide range of social injustices in our communities. We invite you to share your skills and passions which will help

match you to organizations where you can make the biggest difference. This tailored approach has proven to be incredibly rewarding and meaningful for all past iKapa Impact interns and volunteers. Meet passionate, warm-hearted and people driven, Lydia!⁠

Raised in Connecticut, in the USA, where she currently still lives, Lydia studied Public Policy at Syracuse University in upstate New York. It was during her studies there that she came over to Cape Town to do an internship through iKapa Impact! 🇺🇸👩🏻‍🎓⁠

When asked to describe her internship experience in 3 words she said “Eye-opening, inspirational and a-once-in-a-lifetime-experience!” and her piece of advice to anyone thinking of doing an internship through iKapa Impact is “Just go! You will not regret it. I would do it again 100 times over if I could.” ⁠
