"But it's really a life problem, is it not?"

In this short clip, President and Founder, Peter Macy shares the story of a woman in Lusaka, Zambia, who had built a healthy, productive life. Then the taps stopped running.

Forced to collect water from a contaminated stream or shallow well, she uses that water not only for her family, but also to wash the vegetables she sells to earn a living. Her child is getting sick.

It's a powerful reminder that when water services fail, the impact goes far beyond water. It affects health, livelihoods, and entire communities.
