SAI-CAMH attended the External Regional Substance Abuse Stakeholders Meeting, a wonderful gathering of minds and practitioners united by a shared passion for people, families and communities affected by substance abuse π .
Ms Chantelle Pepper from the Department of Social Development delivered a presentation that really brought home the tremendous amount of hard work the Western Cape has undertaken to put the necessary structures in place for government and civil society to implement the National Drug Master Plan (NDMP).
A heartfelt thank you to Lucille Keith for initiating this important Forum and for continuing to drive it forward. Creating spaces where stakeholders can come together, share expertise, strengthen relationships and learn from one another is so important π«Ά . It allows us to move beyond working in silos and towards a more coordinated and collaborative response to substance abuse.
When we bring our knowledge, experience and passion together, we are better equipped to support individuals, families and communities affected by substance abuse.
Stronger together, working towards healthier communities.
