Following our AGM we welcome our speaker for this month who will talk to us about Kirstenbosch thru the Ages
To celebrate Spring, U3A Helderberg will host Cherise Viljoen of Cherish Plants – the name speaks directly to her passion – who will speak on Kirstenbosch through the Ages on 5 November 2025 at the Dutch Reformed Church, Helderberg, 82 Firmount Road, Somerset West at 10.00. Her address will be preceded by a brief AGM.
A master horticulturalist, Cherise’s career includes having been a senior nursery manager at Kirstenbosch, a horticultural lecturer, and general manager of Old Nectar Gardens. She has worked in botanical gardens and nurseries for more than two decades and has extensive knowledge of the ornamental and landscape use of a wide variety of plants, with a focus on Kirstenbosch thru the Ages.
