We provide a high standard of care in a home from home environment, along with unlimited patience & unconditional love. Gabriella Centre is a Residential and Day Care facility for children and young adults with profound Physical and Intellectual Disabilities, such as Cerebral Palsy. We provide 24 hour care in a home from home environment along with unlimited patience and unconditional love

The Da

y Care Centre is open from 7.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. It remains open over school holidays, closing for only three weeks over the Christmas season and on Public holidays. The Residential section remains open throughout the year. To maintain a comfortable environment, a maximum of 24 children/young adults are enrolled in Day Care, of which 12 of them are also in Residential Care. To ensure they receive all the care and love they deserve, a maximum child/caregiver ratio of 4/1 is provided. Individual programmes are designed by our in-house Physiotherapist and Program Implementer, to ensure each child/young adult receives the correct physiotherapy & intellectual stimulation they require. Our Staff have been trained to follow these individual programmes and understand the importance of correct positioning, exercise and educational stimulation. The weekly programme includes physiotherapy, occupational therapy, music & movement, creative activities, outdoor play, horse riding and outings. We provide a place to learn and grow, to feel safe and accepted and to be loved unconditionally.

We're still looking for that extra special Occupational Therapist to join the Gabriella Centre family!

This is a part-time position - 2 or 3 mornings a week.

Our therapy sessions take place in the mornings because that's when our children are well rested, more alert, and able to get the most out of their therapy before the day catches up with them.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about working with children and young adults with severe physical and intellectual disabilities.

As an NPO, we're starting with two mornings a week, but there is the possibility of increasing the days in future if the role works well within our programme and budget.

Happy 20th Birthday, Lucia!

Yesterday this incredible young lady turned 20 years old! What an amazing milestone.

All of our children at Gabriella Centre are miracles, but Lucia's story is something else. She has spent 20 years proving people wrong. Every time the doctors told us to prepare for the worst, Lucia basically said, "Nah-Ah Not today." 😎

She has kicked butt to every prognosis thrown her way and continues to surprise us all. What a privilege it is to watch her grow into the amazing young woman she is.

We also have to give a huge shout out to Lucia's family. The love and support they have shown her over the years has been incredible. Grandparents, aunties, cousins... every single one of you. Lucia is so blessed to have such an amazing team behind her.

Happy Birthday, Lucia! We love you to bits. 💜🎂
