Day of Reconciliation 2025 will be remembered as a Collective Effort for Sustainable Change in Sir Lowry's Pass Village
We were proud to announce the formation of the Sir Lowry's Pass Village Constructive Solutions Group (SLPVCSG), a coalition of local organizations dedicated to uplifting our community and advocating for sustainable development. Our group includes esteemed organizations such as the Helderberg Disability Infrastructure Network, the Fatherhood Empowerment Initiative, and many others who share a vision of eradicating exploitation and ensuring that funding solicited on behalf of our community benefits our residents directly.
Today marked a significant milestone for our community as we partnered with Ubuntu Distribution Services, led by Sylvia and Graeme Dryding, alongside the generous team from 4MOTN365 Pty (Ltd) – Thomas van Rooy, Derico Jackson, Nathan Petersen, and David Daniels. Their commitment to supporting our adult residents through the donation of free clothing was a heartwarming example of community solidarity. We anticipate expanding this initiative into a monthly event, bringing even more joy and support to those in need. Lastly Rise Against Hunger Africa contributed Food Socks to unsure households have several meals during the Festive Season.
The distribution event held at the Ou Tappie in Sir Lowry's Pass Village was filled with smiles as we also offered sweet packets for the children and shared delicious home-cooked meals, graciously donated by our partners. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ubuntu Distribution Services and 4MOTN365 Pty (Ltd) for their generous contributions and for coming all the way from Cape Town to assist us.
As the Sir Lowry's Pass Village Constructive Solutions Group, we are committed to making our village a better place for all its residents. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey; together, we will realize our collective dreams for a sustainable and empowered community.
