Child Protection Week – Somerset East

As Child Protection Week comes to an end, our commitment to protecting children continues every day. Child protection is not only a week of awareness, but an ongoing responsibility shared by parents, caregivers, schools, communities and stakeholders.

Saved Dreams Foundation, together with SAPS and community partners, hosted a meaningful awareness programme in Somerset East focused on child safety, positive parenting, bullying prevention and strengthening parent-child relationships.

We encourage all community members to continue creating safe spaces for children, listening to their voices, teaching them where to seek help, and ensuring that every child feels loved, supported and protected.

💚 Child Protection Week 2026 | Cookhouse 💚

Saved Dreams Foundation hosted a Parent and Child Relationship Programme in Cookhouse as part of Child Protection Week, bringing together parents, caregivers, learners and key stakeholders to promote child safety, protection and healthy family relationships.

The programme focused on important topics including bullying, family violence, child protection and the role that parents and caregivers play in creating safe and supportive environments for children. Through awareness sessions and interactive bonding activities, parents and children were encouraged to strengthen communication, build trust and nurture positive relationships.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Cookhouse SAPS members, FCS representatives, educators and community stakeholders who partnered with us to make the programme a success.

Protecting children starts with strong families, informed communities and a shared commitment to creating safe spaces where every child can thrive. 💚

💚 Child Protection Week 2026 | Adelaide 💚

As part of Child Protection Week, Saved Dreams Foundation hosted a Parent and Child Relationship Programme in Adelaide, bringing together parents, caregivers and children to promote child safety, healthy family relationships and community support.

The programme focused on the important role that parents and caregivers play in protecting children, strengthening parent-child bonds and creating safe and nurturing environments. Discussions highlighted children’s rights, the importance of open communication, positive parenting and working together as a community to prevent child abuse, neglect and exploitation.

We extend our sincere appreciation to SAPS, the Community Police Forum, community representatives and all stakeholders who contributed to making the programme a success.

Together, we are building stronger families, safer communities and brighter futures for our children. 💚

A successful Educators Wellness Programme was hosted in Bedford for educators from Adelaide and Bedford as part of our Psychosocial Support Services for Schools initiative 🌿

The programme focused on educator wellness, burnout prevention, self-care, and creating supportive spaces for educators to reconnect and recharge.

A special thank you to our aerobics instructor, Anelisiwe Peters, for the energising wellness session, as well as Standard Bank Bedford for their support and valuable financial wellness discussion with our educators.
