🔹 POSITION: BODY CORPORATE CARETAKER
📍 LOCATION: KZN SOUTH COAST

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, trustworthy and experienced Caretaker to join our team at a residential complex on the beautiful KwaZulu-Natal South Coast.

The successful candidate must be hands-on, self-motivated, organised and capable of overseeing the daily maintenance, cleanliness and general upkeep of the property.

🔧 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

✅ General maintenance of buildings and common property.
✅ Gardening, landscaping and grounds maintenance.
✅ Identifying and reporting plumbing, electrical and general maintenance issues.
✅ Supervising cleaning, gardening and maintenance staff where required.
✅ Conducting regular property inspections and reporting defects.
✅ Ensuring the complex is maintained in a clean, safe and presentable condition.
✅ Maintaining basic maintenance records and daily reports.
✅ Liaising professionally with residents, trustees, contractors and the Managing Agent.
✅ Assisting with the implementation of Body Corporate conduct rules and safety procedures.

📋 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

✔️ Grade 10 or higher (Grade 12 preferred).
✔️ Minimum 2–3 years' experience in caretaking, building maintenance or a similar position preferred.
✔️ Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems and general property maintenance.
✔️ Practical gardening and grounds maintenance experience.
✔️ Valid driver's licence – compulsory.
✔️ Ability to communicate in more than one South African language. English, Afrikaans and isiZulu would be advantageous.
✔️ Good communication and interpersonal skills.
✔️ Ability to supervise staff and work independently.
✔️ Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
✔️ Willingness to undergo additional training where necessary.

⭐ ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGES:

🔹 Previous experience working at a sectional title complex or residential estate.
🔹 Basic knowledge of sectional title conduct rules.
🔹 First aid and fire safety training.
🔹 Occupational health and safety knowledge.
🔹 Basic computer literacy.
