Originating from Sharpeville in Gauteng, Isaac began his artistic journey at a young age and has since developed into an accomplished actor, playwright, director, and visual artist. His body of work reflects a strong commitment to telling socially relevant South African stories while nurturing emerging talent through structured workshops and community theatre programs.
Among his notable productions are 21 March Sharpeville Massacre, Washonaphi, and DIKAKAPA (directed by Lebeko J. Nketu), as well as Kgetho, which he wrote and directed. DIKAKAPA received Blue and Bronze Standard Bank Standing Ovation Awards at the National Arts Festival in 2017. In 2022, Kgetho earned a Bronze Standing Ovation Award at the same festival. He has also received four nominations at the Naledi Theatre Awards.
In addition to conventional theatre, Isaac has demonstrated innovation in large-scale puppetry and visual arts programming. He has collaborated with the SAGURU Giant Puppet Company and served as Artistic Director for Meet My In-Laws in partnership with the Gauteng Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation and the French Institute of South Africa. These collaborations have enabled cross-cultural exchange and participation in theatre and street festivals across Africa and Europe.
As a facilitator, Isaac has led numerous youth theatre workshops, mentorship initiatives, and community arts development programs. His leadership model integrates artistic excellence, structured training methodologies, and measurable community impact. He is committed to expanding access to arts education, professionalizing emerging artists, and building sustainable creative platforms that contribute to local economic growth.
