💛 JARS OF HOPE: 200+ BAGS, 800+ PEOPLE FED! 💛

A massive congratulations to Nathan on completing his Jars of Hope project for his First Class Award! 🎉👏

Nathan put in the effort to make just over 200 bags, helping feed more than 800 people in our community. What an incredible achievement and a wonderful example of what it means to be a Scout and a young leader! 💚⚜️

We are so proud of Nathan for taking the initiative, showing compassion, and making a real difference in the lives of others. This is Scouting in action! 🌍✨

A huge shout-out to Masithandane and the Sedgefield community for their support in making this project possible. It takes a community to make a difference, and together, we've shown just how much can be achieved! 💛

Well done, Nathan! Your hard work and kindness have made a meaningful impact. 🌟

⚜️ District PLTC 2026🏕️

From 23–27 September, six of our Scouts took on District Patrol Leaders Training Camp, coming away with new skills, new experiences and their PLTC badges! 💚

A huge congratulations to Adrian, Dane, Henry, Rae, Alice and Astrid on completing the course! We hope you bring everything you’ve learnt back to your patrols and continue growing into the leaders you’re capable of becoming. 🌱

A big thank you to Sandy Colloty, our District Commissioner, for organising the camp, to all the staff who made it happen, and to 1st Knysna for joining us and adding to the fun and memories made throughout the week.

Here’s to stronger leaders, better patrols and many more adventures ahead! ⚜️

🪢🏕️ Pioneer Fun Day! ⚜️

On 19 September, our Meerkats and Cubs came together for a Pioneer Fun Day filled with hands-on fun, teamwork and plenty of opportunities to put their skills to the test!

From learning by doing to working together and trying something new, it was a great day of adventure for our youngest members. 💚

🌙⚔️ Outeniqua District Night Hike 2026 ⚔️🌙

On the 12th–13th of September, Scouts from across the Outeniqua District stepped into a world of Greek mythology, monsters, heroes, and stars for our Percy Jackson-themed District Night Hike!

Guided by The Stargazer’s Compass, our Scouts navigated through the darkness, tackled challenges, and put their Scout skills to the test as they made their way through the night. 🌌🧭

It was an evening of adventure, teamwork, courage, and plenty of Percy Jackson magic — exactly the kind of adventure Scouts live for!

⚡ The gods may have been watching... but our Scouts were ready. ⚜️

🚲🐾 Meerkats on the Move! 🐾🚲

On the 21st of August, our Meerkats headed to Fish Eagle Green to put their cycling skills to the test!

They tackled a series of bicycle obstacle courses, testing their balance, control, and confidence on two wheels — all while having plenty of fun. 🚴‍♀️💨

It was also the perfect way to finish off their My Wheels Badge! 🎉

Well done, Meerkats! Another badge in the bag and plenty of new skills under your wheels. ⚜️💚

🌟⚜️ A Huge Milestone for Rae! ⚜️🌟

On the 14th of August, Rae officially achieved her Discoverer Advancement, making her only the 4th Scout in 1st Sedgefield’s history to reach this level!

This is no small achievement. Discoverer takes dedication, leadership, service, adventure, and plenty of hard work — all things Rae has shown throughout her journey.

From organising tree-planting and conservation projects to leading her fellow Scouts on hikes and taking on new challenges, Rae has continued to step up and make a difference.

We are incredibly proud of you, Rae!
Congratulations, Discoverer!

🚲🐾 Meerkats on the Move! 🐾🚲

Our Meerkats have been getting stuck into their Cyclist Badge! 🚴‍♀️⚜️

They've been learning about bikes, staying safe on the road, and building the skills they need to be confident and responsible cyclists.

Plenty of learning, plenty of fun, and of course, a few wheels turning along the way! 💚
