🚲🐾 Meerkats on the Move! 🐾🚲

On the 21st of August, our Meerkats headed to Fish Eagle Green to put their cycling skills to the test!

They tackled a series of bicycle obstacle courses, testing their balance, control, and confidence on two wheels — all while having plenty of fun. 🚴‍♀️💨

It was also the perfect way to finish off their My Wheels Badge! 🎉

Well done, Meerkats! Another badge in the bag and plenty of new skills under your wheels. ⚜️💚

🌟⚜️ A Huge Milestone for Rae! ⚜️🌟

On the 14th of August, Rae officially achieved her Discoverer Advancement, making her only the 4th Scout in 1st Sedgefield’s history to reach this level!

This is no small achievement. Discoverer takes dedication, leadership, service, adventure, and plenty of hard work — all things Rae has shown throughout her journey.

From organising tree-planting and conservation projects to leading her fellow Scouts on hikes and taking on new challenges, Rae has continued to step up and make a difference.

We are incredibly proud of you, Rae!

Nathan is working towards an incredible goal for his First Class Service Project — putting together 200 Jars of Hope to support people in our community.

This Saturday, you can help him get one step closer!

🐾💚 A Little Thank You Goes a Long Way 💚🐾

Our Meerkats recently wrapped up their Community Badge with a very special thank-you outing!

After spending time making colourful pots, handprints, and cards, our Meerkats headed out to deliver their gifts to some of the people who help make Sedgefield a better place. 🎨💐

They stopped to thank DA Ward 2 Councillor Cleone Vanston for her work in our community, as well as our municipal refuse collection team for all they do to keep our town clean. 🗑️💚

Of course, no Meerkat outing would be complete without a little fun! The team made a stop at the Jumping Tree before heading back to the Scout Hall to finish off the evening. 🌳🐾

A wonderful evening of kindness, gratitude, community, and a whole lot of Meerkat energy! Well done, Meerkats! ⚜️💚

🌱🌿 Discoverer Service Project 🌿🌱

As part of his Discoverer Service Project, Adrian brought together a team of Scouts to spend the day giving back to our local environment.

Working alongside the Sedgefield Island Conservancy, the team planted trees generously donated by the Conservancy, who also helped Adrian choose suitable locations for them. They also rolled up their sleeves and tackled a litter clean-up, leaving the area a little better than they found it. 🌳♻️

A fantastic example of Scout service — working with our community, caring for our environment, and turning an idea into action.

Well done, Adrian and the team! ⚜️💚
