*Capacity Building at Goukamma Nature Reserve*

On 1 August 2026 , CapeNature Goukamma hosted a Capacity Building MPA event. They engaged with young people from the Smutsville community by inviting them to the reserve in Buffelsbaai.

The day started with a briefing where three of the staff members talked with the young people.
Following the briefing, the youth group were taken to the river where the staff members canoed them across the river. They then walked on one of the hiking trails towards the beach. During the walk they were educated about their surroundings , protecting nature and about the different species that we get on the reserve.

It was more than just a talk and a walk. It was a lesson in life , learning and gaining experience

Despite the negative looming over smutsville and its loving community,ubuntu on wheels bring a huge positive vibe last ,where malcom luke gawie hand over 6 bicycles to our community kids...ubuntu on wheels started the fundrasing in Combodia and come and finish it here in South Africa,we will like to thanks Mr Shaun Titus and crew for they support.we will share the journey.
