Shelter GBVF Awareness,We received an invite to a Woman's Month celebration from Zamdela Library, to provide information about our services to BoMama contributing towards the theme and purpose of the event, We believe that information sharing is the most effective tools for empowerment.
We are grateful for the opportunity because we spoke to our grannies from an older persons club operating from Zamdela hall

To fight and win, we need to reel everybody considering the role the grannies play in their families as Matriarchs, advisors especially in domestic affairs and in the communities as trusted leaders

Engaging with the old ladies made them realise their significant role in fighting GBVF and how they most of the time get affected by the impact of GBVF,left with grandchildren whose parents are either one is dead while the other parent is in jail for femicide.

Shelter:Some men are victims of GBV and most boys are secondary victims of GBVF, We encourage every victim to report the abuse and seek help, whether in the form of counselling or a safe place to support them, break the cycle of abuse. Our shelter has prepared a room for male victims/survivors who need temporary shelter to help them deal with their situations in a homely environment ,quiet and comfortable place, providing them with peace of mind and space to think .

CFM Shelter:Today we are glad that we travelled more than 300 kilometers to Frankfort for a Late Birth Registration Interview, the Mother and daughter waited almost 3years for a birth certificate, when the daughter was born the mother didn't have an ID because her mother passed way away while pregnant and a minor , so basically this means No birth Certificate,No Sassa grant and for an unemployed mother the extra R580 income in the house makes a huge difference to ease the burden and stress of relying on others for both her and child survival, We celebrate this Woman's Month with so much excitement knowing that as Curious Future Movement Shelter we impacted the lives of 2 Females We pride ourselves knowing one day when hey exit the shelter atleast we were able to fill a gap they came to the shelter with, and the mother also received sewing, baking and cooking skills from our 2 Shelter House mothers .
Victim Empowerment comes in different shapes and forms

GBVF Awareness,Woman's Month celebration Refengkgotso community, Woman turned up honoring an invite not just to attend but dressed in their vintage outfit as per the theme of the event .

CFM is committed to serving the community in a way possible just to ensure we educate women about their rights and empower women with information that enables them to make decisions and choices favorable to them and their children

We will never cease to make a call to not only the victims and survivors but to the community who knows of any case of abuse to Speak out in order to save lives and protect children who are always suffering the consequences of decisions made by their parents or guardians.
Silence has ruined a lot of lives destroyed families and the community at some point bears the brunt of GBVF by default.

Saying Goodbye for Now to our Retired Soldier, "Mother Homi" she was not just CFM Volunteer but a true Servant of the Metsimaholo community beyond her normal duties of providing support to the victims and survivors of GBVF, She joined the team in January 2019 as the fourth member, long before we had funding, logos and uniforms, her husband played a very crucial role always assisting us with copies and printing, he even contributed for our very 1st ank account to be opened only to be closed due to lack of funds, she is part of the foundation of CFM beyond that most members of the community experienced her ministry of help, which she carries out alongside her husband "Papa Homi" they distribute donated food to families in need almost daily depending on the availability. At CFM she served our clients with so much humility and sometimes gave out taxi money for them to get to DSD in town after referral. In the team she played her motherly role so well, often calling us out whenever she felt or saw the need to address a matter.she played her role uniquely, her absence will always be felt with every GBVF Activity planned in the future.

GBVF Awareness: Mandela Day initiative, Collaborations and Partnership our marching orders.
From our feedback session with Thandeka Khupuza our Ambassador at the RWVL/WOSSO Fellowship Programme,as part of a advocacy plan which secured a spot for her after being interviewed for the programm.
Part of the advocacy plan was including a Boy child as part of a solution to winning the GBVF Fight.
We are excited to announce that BT Project our main sponsor and partner of the initiative, came on board unreservedly so.
The beneficiaries are members of a boxing club affiliated to the Dept of Sports, Recreation and Arts who needed new boxing gloves
Honorable Matsholo Mthimkulu Mmolotsane joined us and delivered a brief message of support and encouragement emphasizing the role of sports plays in helping out youth to keep them away from activities that derail and destroy them.
In 67minutes we cleaned the outside area of the department of Sports offices
Each boxer received their gloves .
