What better way to celebrate HER than by bringing women together to connect, create, laugh, and simply enjoy each other’s company? 🥂✨

On 15 August, the women of JCI Sandton came together for our Sip & Paint—an afternoon filled with colour, creativity, conversation, and connection. 🎨💙

As part of our Power of HER campaign, this gathering was a beautiful reminder that when women create space for one another, we build communities where Hope, Empowerment, and Resilience can flourish.

From the paintbrushes to the laughter, the conversations to the unforgettable moments, we celebrated the incredible women who make up our JCI Sandton family. 💙

Here’s to HER—her story, her strength, her dreams, her resilience, and the power she carries within. ✨

And with this powerful message from Lydia Masiphephethu, we officially close our Power of HER campaign. 💛

Over the past weeks, we have celebrated the voices, stories and strength of the incredible women of JCI Sandton, exploring what it means to embody:

💙 H – Hope — believing in possibilities and inspiring others to dream.
💙 E – Empowerment — lifting others as we rise and creating opportunities.
💛 R – Resilience — embracing challenges, growing through discomfort and continuing to rise.

Lydia reminds us that “the best version of me has always been waiting on the other side of discomfort.” A beautiful reminder that sometimes our greatest growth happens when we choose to keep going, even when the journey isn’t easy.

To every woman who shared her story, her picture, her wisdom and her HER — thank you. ❤️

Another impactful BIZHUB session in the books! 🚀

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible Trainer, Haru Murau, and our dedicated Facilitator, Salome Dube, for taking our BIZHUB entrepreneurs through an insightful session on Cost-Plus vs Value-Based Pricing. 📊💡

This session challenged us to think differently about one of the most important decisions in business: “What should I charge?”

Our entrepreneurs explored the difference between pricing based on simply covering costs and pricing based on the value, outcomes and benefits we create for our customers.

From understanding costs and margins to recognising customer needs, perceived value and the power of differentiation, this session reminded us that we shouldn’t only price the product we sell — we need to understand the value we bring. 💰✨

One powerful takeaway to carry forward:

“Survival comes from covering costs; growth comes from capturing value.”

Thank you, Haru, for sharing your expertise and giving our entrepreneurs practical tools to make smarter pricing decisions. And a special thank you to our facilitator for creating the space for such meaningful learning and engagement. 🙌🏽

🌍 SPEAKER ANNOUNCEMENT | AGENDA 2063 SYMPOSIUM 🌍

We are honoured to announce Mr. Samuel Samson Omwa as one of our distinguished speakers at the Agenda 2063 Symposium!

Samuel is a Development Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist with extensive experience in sustainable development policy, national planning, governance and results-based management.

He currently serves as Assistant Coordinator for SDG Mainstreaming and Partnerships at the National Planning Authority of Uganda, where he leads initiatives focused on SDG integration, policy coherence, multi-stakeholder partnerships and the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM).

🎓 Currently pursuing a PhD in Monitoring, Measurement and Evaluation at EUCLID University, Samuel’s research explores adaptive governance, evidence use and public-sector evaluation systems.

His contribution to regional and continental policy dialogues on Agenda 2063, the Sustainable Development Goals and governance reforms reflects his commitment to strengthening evidence-informed policymaking and advancing resilient, inclusive development across Africa.

As we continue our The Power of HER campaign, we turn our spotlight to R – Resilience and continue celebrating the incredible women of JCI Sandton.

Today, we hear from Banele Mncube, who reminds us that resilience is more than simply overcoming challenges — it is the quiet strength to persevere, grow through adversity and keep moving forward.

🌍 One Africa Exchange Meet-Up 2026 🌍

The exchange is coming to the City of Gold. 🇿🇦

From 4 – 6 September, JCI Sandton proudly hosts young leaders from six chapters across five Countries — JCI Tshwane, JCI Lusaka, JCI Maseru, JCI Metro Zimbabwe, JCI Gaborone, and JCI Lobatse — for three days under one theme: Governance, Peace and Sustainable Development.

This meet-up is more than just sessions – it’s about building brotherhood, strengthening unity, and fostering internationalism. Together, we will share ideas, exchange experiences, and deepen cross-border collaboration to shape a stronger Africa.

The One Africa Exchange is a celebration of connection, a platform for learning, and a step towards a future where young people rise together to influence change beyond borders.

Here’s how we do it:
🎾 Padel Night — Friday, to connect and compete
🎤 The Symposium — Saturday, to learn, share and lead the conversation
🏙️ Joburg Tour — Sunday, to experience the city together
