The Power of Choice | Pastor Joyce Lalamani

At the launch of the Moleboheng Matli Foundation (MMF) Boychild Mentorship & Leadership Programme, Pastor Joyce Lalamani delivered a powerful spiritual keynote reminding our young mentees that every choice carries a consequence, and every decision can shape a future.

As a spiritual mentor to the programme, she challenged the boys to develop the wisdom and discipline to make sound decisions, resist negative influences and understand the responsibility that comes with becoming young men of purpose and integrity.

Pastor Joyce Lalamani is the Lead Pastor of Tower of Grace Leadership Centre in Roslyn, Pretoria — City of Tshwane, a professional counsellor and former teacher whose work continues to speak to the development, guidance and transformation of young people.

Her message was clear: we may not always choose our circumstances, but we can choose how we respond to them.

Through mentorship, faith, accountability and leadership, we are equipping boys to make better choices today — and become responsible men who can help protect and positively shape generations tomorrow.

Blessed Sunday 🤍 | Born for a Time Such as This

This Sunday, the Moleboheng Matli Foundation reflects with gratitude on God’s faithfulness and the journey that has brought us to this moment.

The launch of our Boychild Mentorship & Leadership Programme during Women’s Month at Freedom Park Heritage Site & Museum was a deeply meaningful occasion. Having Pastor Joyce Lalamani, a spiritual mother and champion for youth development, stand with us as a speaker and supporter made the moment even more special.

Through Tower of Grace Leadership Church in Pretoria, generations of young people have been raised, guided and strengthened. Today, seeing a new generation of young people—around the same age many of us were when we first began our own journeys—is truly heartwarming.

God has a way of bringing us full circle.

We are born for a time such as this. The prayers, lessons and seeds planted in previous generations are now bearing fruit through the young people we are privileged to serve.

Thank you, Pastor Joyce, for continuing to raise, guide and stand for the youth. Your investment in generations continues to make a lasting difference.

May God continue to use the Moleboheng Matli Foundation as a leadership centre to raise leaders, restore hope and transform lives.

A powerful moment as our MMF Boychild Mentees arrived as the VIP guests of the day, welcomed through a proud Guard of Honour and a ceremonial procession led by Chaplain Merrick Finlly Onverwacht.

Today, the boys did not simply arrive at an event — they arrived knowing they matter, they belong, and their future is worth investing in.

This is what the MMF Boychild Mentorship & Leadership Programme stands for: dignity, leadership, purpose and opportunity.

More than a launch, it was a moment of solidarity for our boys — affirming that their development, leadership, education and future matter.

This is about creating pathways, building character, nurturing leadership and ensuring that our boys are not forgotten.

The Moleboheng Matli Foundation proudly welcomes Nunu Petunia Moloi to the MMF Boychild Mentorship & Leadership Programme 2026 as our Praise Poet.

A celebrated poet, storyteller, drama facilitator and creative arts practitioner, Nunu brings more than three decades of experience using the arts to educate, inspire, heal and transform communities.

Through the power of spoken word, poetry and storytelling, she will help our young men discover their voice, embrace their purpose and understand that their stories matter.

Her artistry will challenge our boys to choose courage over fear, integrity over compromise, purpose over pressure, and leadership through service.

We are honoured to have her voice woven into the journey of our 2026 cohort.

Introducing Hlompho Ntlhake, a 15-year-old Grade 9 learner from General Smuts High School, representing the Sedibeng East Region.

Hlompho is one of the young boys selected to be part of the Moleboheng Matli Foundation (MMF) Boychild Mentorship & Leadership Programme, a transformative initiative committed to developing boys into confident, responsible, disciplined and purpose-driven young men.

At 15, Hlompho is at an important stage of his journey. The mentorship programme is designed to give him access to guidance, positive role models, leadership development, personal growth and opportunities that can help him understand his potential and build a strong vision for his future.

Today we introduce Bokang, a proud learner from Sandown High School in Sandton, Johannesburg—home to Africa’s renowned “richest square mile.”

As one of the 50 young men selected for the inaugural Moleboheng Matli Foundation (MMF) Boychild Mentorship & Leadership Programme, Bokang represents a generation of young leaders with the potential to shape a stronger, more compassionate, and more prosperous South Africa.

Our programme is built on the belief that when we intentionally invest in our boys through mentorship, leadership development, education, values, and purpose, we strengthen families, communities, and the nation.
