Recent Event - Recap – 5 March 2026 – Celebrating International Women's Day - An evening with Saray Khumalo - Scaling Summits, Inspiring Resilience - Celebrating Women Who Rise

The event didn’t just celebrate women’s achievements but actively embodied empowerment through dialogue, diversity, and shared wisdom.

Saray Khumalo’s Everest journey into the broader narrative of perseverance, purpose, and impact captured the essence of International Women’s Day. Her metaphor of “acclimatise to your ambition” — is such a vivid way to remind us that growth requires patience, adaptation, and resilience.

The panel lineup was inspiring too, each speaker represented a different facet of leadership and creativity, showing that empowerment isn’t one-dimensional but a spectrum of possibilities.

A special thank you for the opportunity to co-host the event with main hosts Swisscham Southern Africa and participating chambers - Austrian Business Chamber In South Africa, Belgian Chamber of Commerce in South Africa, British Chamber of Business in Southern Africa, and the French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Empowerment is practiced, not just spoken. Perseverance, purpose and courage can redefine any summit!
