DEAD TO SIN

Romans 6 v 11 (KJV)
Likewise, reckon ye also yourself to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

I want you to take note of the word " reckon " in today's theme verse. In the Greek rendering, it is the word logízomai, which means to conclude or count a deed as already done, requiring only your affirmation and recognition.

This is very important because it tells you that in the mind of God, whoever you were in the past no longer has any claim to who you are now in Christ. Sin and its stimulating power have been slain by the power of the Cross. Affirm and recognize this in your life. You're not who you used to be, no matter how many reminders the devil throws at you. In Christ, that old person is dead. Don't give room to sin consciousness; you're completely dead to it!

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thank You, Lord, for my salvation which ensured that my old life, my old personality, my old character are terminated, hallelujah!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
The old me is long dead. I live far above circumstances because no sin holds me back in Jesus' Name.

JUST FORGIVE

Colossians 3 v 13 (KJV)
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

Sadly, the hardest thing for some Christians to do is forgive. Born again, tongue babbling, faithfully serving, Bible- reading congregants or even Pastors harbour grudges spanning decades. Yet there's no instance where the Bible encourages you to hold unto grudges or unforgiveness for whatever the reason.

In today's verse, Paul specifically outlines how you are to respond to people who disappoint or upset you. And since life is filled with disappointments, it's important for you to understand exactly what Paul meant when he wrote these words. If God were to act like some people, and choose not to forgive, where would that leave you. With all the wrongs you've done that God had to forgive, why can't you extend the same grace to others and forgive them? This is not Christ-like. No need to reason. JUST FORGIVE!

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Dear Father, teach me to let go of wrongs committed against me. Cleanse my heart by Your Spirit from anything I have harboured against any in my heart. Thank You for forgiving me.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I shall never hold on to malice. Right now, I forgive everyone who wronged me in the past, present, and future!

DISTRIBUTORS OF GRACE

1 Peter 1 v 1-2 (KJV)
Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the...Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father...Grace unto you, and peace be multiplied.

One thing you will find consistently in Paul's epistles, Peter and John's too, is their consciousness of the grace and peace of God. They understood the importance and power of grace and peace in the lives of God's people. In today's verse, Peter take a step further to show us something remarkable. At the beginning of his epistle, he said, "... Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied." So grace and peace can be multiplied, but how?

At the beginning of his second epistle, he pinpoint the answer: it's through the knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. Multiplied grace means greater excellence, greater performance, favour, and prosperity in your life, and it can only take place if you increase genuine intimacy with God. Not only does it benefit you, but you, in turn, also become distributor of grace by extending grace to others.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thank You, my Father for multiplied grace and peace You have made available for me through Your Word.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
As I grow in grace and peace and increase my Father's Kingdom, my spiritual climate shall send terror to the camp of the enemy. Glory!

WORD MEDICINE

Matthew 12 v 27 (NLT)
The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.

Words are the most potent forces on Earth. Forget popularity, wealth, or untold treasures: words are the most powerful. Wars have started because of words. Families have broken down; multitudes have died, and whole nation wallow in poverty because of words.

God made everything with words and sustains everything with words. Words also determine where you live eternally. With all this in mind, what have you done with words? How will you use words today?

One of the things you must practice is talking to your body---using your words to keep your body in health and perfection. Regularly declare that you're strong and in perfect health. Talk to your body, and it will hear you. It doesn't matter what the doctor said, use words to bounce back to health. The human body is like an animal that needs to be trained. Insist, on what you want your body to do, and it will start yielding to your words.

Thank You, Father, for Your pulsating life in me. I walk in divine health and vitality because I have You.

THE ULTIMATE COMPASS

Psalm 119 v 105 (KJV)
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Experiments have shown that a person can only walk in a straight line for no more than 100 meters without light or a reference point. After the 100 - meter mark, you begin to veer and walk in circles.

Here's the lesson in today's scripture: when you want to know God's purpose and His direction for your life, study God's Word. The Word is light, it's your compass; if you follow it you'll never lose your way. You will go way beyond every "100-meter" limitations the devil has placed over your life.

When you stay in the Word, your spiritual eyes are open to what you should see. You will know what to do and say in any boardroom or courtroom. Get into the Word, and you will never speculate what the rest of your day holds. You will not be caught by surprise today.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Dear Father, thank You for the gift of Your Word, which serves as a lamp to guide my steps. I wholly trust in Your guidance and follow Your Word diligently in Jesus' Name.

I CAN DO IT!

Luke 9 v 16- 17 (KJV)
Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitudes. So they all ate and were filled, and twelve baskets of the leftover fragments were taken up by them.

This is one of the most powerful passages of scripture that shows what God can do with very little. How many are reading this right now feeling inadequate, hopeless, or facing a giant task ahead that seems so intimidating? The idea is to look at what you have through the eyes of the Lord. He looked at the five loaves and two fishes, and He saw enough to feed thousands of people.

As you face the day, don't limit God. He specializes in alien tasks no matter the shape or size. Not only shall you overcome, prosper, and multiple, but you shall also have leftover blessings to share with others! Shout, ' I can do it!'

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Dear God, I bring everything that I am for You to use. Whatever I face, I know I'll succeed at it because I have You.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
God is my Source. I entrust my finances into His hands and walk in supernatural provision. Scarcity is not part of my vocabulary; it cannot come near my dwelling in Jesus' Name.

STRANGE OIL OVERFLOW

Isaiah 28 v 21 (NIV)
The LORD will rise up as he did at Mount Perazim, he will rouse himself as in the Valley of Gibeon---to do his work, his strange work, and perform his task, his alien task.

If I ask people whether they believe God created the universe or raised Jesus from the dead, most will agree without a shadow of doubt. But for some reason, when it comes to actual power at work in our own lives, many often doubt Him.

Hebrews 13 v 8 says, " Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, and forever. " The God of strange miracles hasn't changed. He is still the God who holds the foundation of the earth, gives orders to the morning, and places every star in the sky at night. He 's still the God who parted the Red Sea, stopped the sun in its axis, and gives sight to the blind. Every alien task He performed then, He's still performing now.

Remind yourself of this daily and you'll experience an overflow of His strange oil this year!

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thank You, my Father, for always working behind the scenes on my behalf to perform alien tasks. I'm truly grateful in Jesus' Name. Amen.

ATTENTION TO WORSHIP

John 4 v 24 (KJV)
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

When some Christians hear the word worship, the first thing that comes to mind is slow Christians music. Worship is more than that. Let me show you the definition.

Worship is the recognition and appreciation of the goodness, blessings, kindness, and righteousness of God. As you worship, you speak of His character. For example, when you say, "Lord, you're good: you' re kind, " etc., you're defining, recognition, and appreciating His character.

God likes it when you worship Him like that because it shows who He is in your life; it separates Him from everyone and everything else. Furthermore, worship brings us a greater revelation of God. In this type of fellowship, He reveals Himself to us. He also reveals your future, your life, and so much more. True worshipers never lack direction. Give this more attention, and it'll change your life.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Dear Lord, I acknowledge and appreciate Your faithfulness, kindness, Your love, and Your grace at work in me. I thank You from a heart full of worship in Jesus' Name!

WISDOM IS BETTER THAN RUBIES

Proverbs 8 v 11 (KJV)
For wisdom is better than rubies, And all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her.

I've met numerous intelligent men and women in my ministry years. Some with doctorates in complex subjects, and others armed with accolades owed to their high- powered brain capacity. And yet with all this intelligence, the Bible teaches that wisdom is better. Why is this so? Because wisdom is a revelation, it is insight into divine realities.

When you walk in wisdom, you can never be hoodwinked by worldly systems; you can never be outshone by those who only rely on wordly intelligence. In this Year of Strange Oil, understand that Christ is your wisdom according to 1 Corinthians 1 v 30. That means you don't function like normal humans; you are of alien origin and by far more superior than those in the world. Function as such from now!

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thank You, Lord, for giving me divine wisdom and filling me with spiritual understanding. Because of this, I walk in unending victory in Jesus' Name!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
Armed with wisdom, I see what others don't see. Hidden wealth is mine, and insight into divine health is mine. I shall not lack or fail at anything. Glory be to God!
