Who do we vote for on the 4th of November? IEC South Africa

The Right To Live was introduced to hold the current leadership accountable but we cannot ignore the opportunity for impact in the municipal elections this November.

As majority of the voting population with 55% we can really challenge the current leadership, elect leaders who have a clear roll out plan not just an idea of a plan and hold them accountable for 2 years. We can call it L their “proof of performance “ until the upcoming government elections.

THE RIGHT TO LIVE - FROM AWARENESS TO ACTION

What started as a plan to challenge our Constitution has evolved into a much bigger question:

Who will help us bring about the change we so desperately need?

As we continue our journey to the highest court in the land, we recognise that change requires more than challenging legislation. It requires accountability, leadership and action.

With the municipal elections approaching on 4 November, we have an opportunity to ask some difficult questions.

Who is delivering on their promises? Who is prioritising the safety of women and children? And who is being held accountable when the system fails?

At The Right To Live, we do not endorse or support any political party. We believe in empowering South Africans with facts, not political promises, so that everyone can make informed decisions.

We need to approach this with wisdom. Understand the manifestos, examine the track records and ask the questions that matter.

Our fight is not about political parties. It is about people. It is about protecting lives and ensuring that our constitutional rights are more than words on paper.

Our mission remains unchanged. Our voices will be heard.

If not us, then who?

30 Days to IEC South Africa what are you going to with your vote?

As women of South Africa 🇿🇦 we hold 55% of the votes that’s POWER and our leaders know it.

We will no longer accept the untruths given to us by our leaders. We will no longer stand by and watch while women die every day.

Last night the South African Government took centre stage AGAIN highlighting the GBVF pandemic in our country.

All I heard through the outdated statistics, “sharing” the countries anger and again saying how women and and children have been failed is that another 90 days will go to waste while 9-15 women will die each day… NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

Another concern is during this 90 day’s of inquiries on the 4th of November we will head to the voting stations for municipal elections do you think we are not aware that this is another attempt to save face to the people of South Africa 🇿🇦

We see you Sir … Not good enough!

THE RIGHT TO LIVE initiative was established to challenge the constitution on basic human rights that are not being upheld.

70% of femicide cases are perpetrated not by Serial Offenders but rather by INTIMATE PARTNERS meaning women are not even safe at home.

Our mandate is to challenge the constitution by demanding harsher punishment for offenders and holding the South African Government and South African Police Service🇿🇦 accountable for the miscarriage of justice against women and children.

The vision is HUGE but we know if we all stand together we can disrupt the cycle of abuse in our beloved country.

South African Police Service🇿🇦 and South African Government is this how we need to live as women in South Africa ?

More vigilance is not the answer. The constitution is failing us we need to challenge this in the highest court in the land.

The punishment needs to fit the crime and offenders need to stop being protected by a constitution written for all South Africans.

My basic human right to safety is not being met, femicide is swept under the rug while we fight against the death penalty calling it inhumane? How ridiculous.

I think women’s safety needs to be privatised and the private and business sectors need to collaborate and find a solution that will put offenders on a register… start hitting them where it hurts … their livelihood.

To Elizabeth and to all the other women affected by violence I am sorry that we failed you !!!

The Team partnered up with Athletics Gauteng North_Cross Country and attended the Hoërskool Eldoraigne and NWU - North-West University event.

Our focus to create awareness around period poverty in sport and the challenges female athletes face competing at the highest level

Every donation collected at these events will be distributed to girl and women participating in sports giving them an opportunity to excel and achieve their goal and dreams.
