We are celebrating the 47th anniversary of June 16 Soweto Uprising which changed the socio-political landscape in South Africa, and we also celebrated International Day of the African child, initiated by the African Union which honours those who participated in the Soweto Uprising. This day focuses on the barriers African children face to receive decent education and is also an opportunity to raise awareness for the ongoing need to improve the education of children across Africa.

The 2nd Swing for the Kids golf tournament will tee off on 21 of March 2023 at Country Club Johannesburg
The annual tournament will feature about 160 competitors taking part in five groups for men and women based on their handicaps, and a group who do not yet have a handicap.
Apart from the main prizes for the overall champion and group winners, Botebong Trust will also present awards to those who make the longest drive, are nearest the pin, or shoot a hole-in-one.
The annual charity competition aims to raise funds to support poor students who have excelled academically.
According to the Botebong Trust, over the past 2 years, the event has raised over R4 000,000 and handed out almost 300 bursaries to outstanding young students in need of financial support.
We have also facilitated upgrades to learning facilities in 2 cities and provinces South Africa.
At the launch ceremony on the 04 of June in Soweto, 5 bursaries worth between 20 000 rands and R40 000 rands were given to students from three universities and academies, who had outstanding results in the past school year.
