On 9 October 2026, Field Officer John received an urgent call about an owl trapped inside the Wynberg Flow Charts Building. The poor bird had been stuck inside the building for days and was unable to find its way out.
Without hesitation, Field Officer John rushed to the scene and successfully rescued the owl. He immediately transported it to Johannesburg Wildlife for a veterinary examination and care.
The veterinarian examined the owl and reported that it appeared to be in good condition, with no broken bones. The owl will continue to be monitored until it is strong and ready to be released back into the wild.
This rescue was possible because someone cared enough to call for help, and our Field Officer was able to respond.
