Managed by community youth worker, Jackie Bester and her 4 volunteers. Developed, trained and mentored by Life Coach, Jolene Butler. Monday to Thursday, 60 youth enjoy a healthy meal, homework supervision, reading and learning assistance, life skills, dream books and educational outings. This enables working parents, peace of mind knowing that their children are taken care of and for youth an opportunity to improve scholastically and off the streets and other dangers in the afternoons
Vision
to involve parents and caregivers more constructively and positively with their children, by teaching parenting skills. Arrange parent and child evenings where children can showcase dancing, singing, dream books and other life skills they are learning at the after school club. To create a successful, duplicable program that can be used to start similar projects in neighbouring communities and schools by means of training more community leaders through the project.
