📢 PUBLIC NOTICE: STAY ALERT – PROTECT YOURSELF FROM FRAUD, SCAMS, AND CORRUPT PRACTICES
The Saldanha Bay Municipality calls on all its residents, businesses, and consumers at large to stay informed and remain vigilant against the growing threats of bribery, scams, fraudulent activities, and corruption in our communities.
We are receiving increasing reports of the following illegal practices:
🚫 Fake job offers and fraudulent job interviews being arranged under the false pretext of municipal employment
🚫 Individuals impersonating municipal officials to gain trust or payment
🚫 Threats of service disconnection (electricity or water) unless a fee is paid or a specific number is called
🚫 Illegal electricity tokens being sold at a so-called “discounted tariff” – these are not valid
🚫 Fraudsters promising tender awards in exchange for payment – this is a scam and a criminal offence
⚠️ Be aware: The Saldanha Bay Municipality does not charge for job applications, interviews, or tender awards, nor do we make threats to disconnect services in exchange for payment.

If you suspect any bribery, corruption, scams, or fraudulent behaviour, do not stay silent.
