Leigh-Ann's Gift Where Sterilizations Come True This Project is to Honor Leigh-Ann van der Merwe's legacy by continuing her passion for helping animals in need.

Leigh-Ann van der Merwe was the biggest voice for the voiceless. She was one of a kind and had a pure heart and soul who always wanted the best for all animals in need. Nothing ever stood in her way of helping the voiceless. Sadly, Leigh-Ann passed away, and we all want to keep this legacy and project of helping animals in need going on for years to come. We as a community can make a significant i

mpact on animal welfare if we all take hands. This Project is dedicated to Leigh-Ann, and we need your help to ensure Leigh-Ann's dream lives on. While foster homes and animal shelters are overflowing with animals due to a lack of education and people that can not afford to sterilize their animals, we all need your help to sponsor these animals so that we can start somewhere to help these animals not end up unwanted and reduce animal overpopulation through sterilization and providing education and care for animals in need. We will be going out all over to find these animals in need. We will then get all the information and photos, and we will share them on this page and help these animals get sponsorships to get them sterilized. All funds will be paid directly into the available VET'S account, and we will make sure those animals go to the vet and also go back to their homes. We will always make sure every donation and sponsorship is tracked, with clear updates on the progress of each animal's journey and transparency. We also want to engage people who share Leigh-Ann’s passion for animals to become project ambassadors or volunteers. They can assist in fundraising and outreaches. We will also be doing outreach where we will hand out dog or cat food, etc. to animals in need and educate people on the path to educate the public on proper animal care and the importance of sterilization. We will always document each success story. Regular updates with photos and stories of the animals being helped will show potential donors the real impact of their contributions. This is a beautiful way to keep Leigh-Ann’s love for animals alive and help those in need. Keep sharing this page all over so we can all take hands and try and help all these animals in need.

Leigh Ann's Gift would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our amazing community for opening your hearts and donating much-needed blankets for the animals at both shelters this cold winter.

Your kindness, generosity, and compassion will help keep countless dogs and cats warm, safe, and comfortable during the chilly months ahead. Every blanket represents a caring hand and a loving heart, making a real difference in the lives of animals waiting for their forever homes.

A recent peer-reviewed paper found owners reported flea & tick products🦟 containing the potent pesticide, Isoxazoline💦, cause a reaction in 2 OUT OF 3 DOGS!

The pesticide can be found in products like: NEXGARD, NEXGARD SPECTRA, BRAVECTO, SIMPARICA, CREDELIO, REVOLUTION PLUS, and others.

This pesticide is so powerfully potent🔥 that it starts killing within two hours after administration! In fact, it kills 98.7% of newly arriving fleas within 24 hours! Because of this, Isoxazoline drugs now carry a warning⚠️ on their labels in both the U.S. and Canada. Even the FDA-U.S. Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning statement for veterinarians and pet parents.

🐾❄️ WINTER BLANKET DRIVE FOR ANIMALS IN NEED ❄️🐾

Leigh Ann’s Gift would love to help keep the animals at the SPCA warm this winter by collecting old or new blankets for the shelter animals at SPCA Randwest and SPCA Rustenburg. 🐶🐱

Winter is extremely cold, and so many animals are depending on the shelters for warmth, safety, and love. Every blanket can make a huge difference for an animal in need.
We would like to ask the community, businesses, and companies to please help sponsor or donate:

🧺 New blankets
🧺 Warm bedding for the animals

If needed, we are more than willing to collect the blankets and personally drop them off at the SPCA shelters.
