In this youth month it is so important to recognise the pains our youth come across with peer pressure and exposure to things that are so detrimental to their lives.
We took the time to talk to the youth of Kgabalatsane about substance abuse as well as human trafficking. They agree that drugs are stealing their peers future and call to the government and leaders to help them curb the effects that substance has had in their community. The will to fight this stigma is there! They also got educated on how they can identify perpetrators who pry on nativity and desperation of young people for human trafficking and grooming.
We hope the youth of Kgabalatsane have taken this knowledge and spread it to those who were unable to come on the 19th June, and continue to assist and identify abuse at large to the authorities so that they can build a better community in the future
