🚧 Major Water Main Repaired by RNW

A major water main burst at the corner of Zamzam Crescent and Firdous Street after contractors working on a fibre installation struck a main water pipe.

Thousands of litres of water flooded down Firdous Street towards Bilaal Drive, causing significant damage and water loss.

Despite multiple attempts by the contractors to contain and repair the leak, they were unable to resolve the issue.

With water continuing to be wasted and the situation left unresolved, RNW stepped in.

Our team took on the challenge and, by 9pm on Friday evening, successfully repaired the leak and restored the line.

This was one of the more demanding repairs our team has faced in recent months, requiring considerable effort and resources to fix the damage that had been left behind.

⚠️ *AN URGENT PLEA 👏🏻 to ALL RESIDENTS, COMMUNITY GROUPS, RELIGIOUS and YOUTH GROUP LEADERS*

To join RNW in its quest to reach out to the consciences of Roshnee and Dadaville citizens to do the right thing and support the effort to keep RNW alive & functioning.

Can the community mobilise and form a new committee to assist RNW to help start the effort to get all non paying homes to SIGN or RE-START their monthly subscriptions?

As has been said repeatedly over the past days, the survival of RNW is determined solely, by the people of this town.
Just to point out, since the matter has come to fore and much discussions have taken place, the response of the townsfolk viz. non paying residents has almost been zero. NO NEW SUBSCRIPTIONS have been received or signed since.
This is really sad and gravely disappointing.

As has been previously and repeatedly said.. *THE LIFE OF RNW WILL BE DETERMINED BY ROSHNEE ITSELF, IT EITHER DIES OR THRIVES. THE DECISION LIES WITH EACH INDIVIDUAL MEMBER OF THIS COMMUNITY;*

🛑 Urgent Message to Roshnee Residents.

Dear Roshnee,

RNW has helped make our town one of the safest and most cared-for communities.

Not only through 24/7 monitoring, patrols, and armed response, but also by assisting with leaks, potholes, infrastructure issues, clean-ups, support for the elderly and vulnerable, and much more.

RNW is a non-profit, by the community, for the community. And that means one thing: RNW can only exist if the community supports it.

🚨 This is a critical call to Roshnee, because RNW is at risk.

An internal review confirmed something deeply concerning: approximately 50% of Roshnee residents DO NOT contribute to RNW at all, while 100% of the town BENEFITS from RNW's services.

This shortfall directly threatens RNW’s ability to sustain the level of security, response, and support that our town relies on.

Imagine a Roshnee without RNW…

- No 24/7 monitoring and patrols.
- No armed response when something goes wrong.
- No access control support.
- No quick action on leaks, potholes, and urgent infrastructure problems.

And when these situations happen, who will we call if RNW is not there?

This is not a message of blame.
It is a genuine notice to our community.

If more households do not step up, RNW will be forced to reduce services, and we all will feel it.

The RNW membership is just R300 per month (about R10 a day). If the full amount is not possible right now, contributing what you can still makes a real difference.

But not contributing at all while benefiting fully is not doing your part.

This is a community effort, and we all have to play our role.

This is urgent. Please don’t leave it for later. If you can support RNW, do it today, and please encourage a neighbour or family member who is not contributing yet to join as well.
