🐾 URGENT APPEAL — PLEASE HELP US STERILIZE CINDERELLA & PEBBLES 🐾
We are swallowing our pride today and begging for help 💔
We currently have 19 cats in our care — cats we have rescued, taken in, or been entrusted with because someone believed we could give them a safer, better life. We love every single one of them deeply. But love doesn't pay the vet bill. And right now, with the ever-increasing cost of living — including the enormous amount of food required to feed 19 hungry mouths — we simply do not have the funds to sterilize two of our precious girls.
💗 CINDERELLA'S STORY
Cinderella recently gave birth to three beautiful kittens. After raising them and caring for them until they were weaned, she is now showing signs that she may already be on heat again. And we know what that means. Every male cat in the neighbourhood seems to be after her with a vengeance 😔 We desperately want to prevent Cinderella from becoming pregnant again. She has already done her part. She deserves the chance to rest, recover and simply be a loved, happy cat — not to be caught in an endless cycle of pregnancies and kittens.
💗 PEBBLES' STORY
Pebbles is another little rescue who was entrusted to us because someone wanted her to have a better life. And we want exactly that for her. But giving her a better life also means taking responsibility for preventing unwanted litters. Sterilizing her now is one of the most important things we can do for her future.
🐾 WE KNOW WHAT SOME PEOPLE WILL SAY... "Then stop taking in cats." Please don't. We already know that we are stretched beyond our limits. But when a frightened, hungry, injured or unwanted cat ends up in front of us, we struggle to turn our backs. Our hearts simply aren't built that way.
We didn't set out to have 19 cats. We simply kept saying "yes" when another cat needed someone. And now we are doing everything we can to care for the cats who have ended up depending on us.
We are also currently in the process of getting our NPO registered, with the hope that we will eventually be able to do so much more for cats in need.
But Cinderella and Pebbles cannot wait for the paperwork. They need to be sterilized NOW.
