Joshua's Journey

Joshua's Journey In July 2015 Joshua (11 years old) has been diagnosed with a very rare form of bone cancer. Joshua is a very ambitious 11-year-old boy with a passion for life.

In July 2015, after several visits to the physio-therapists and doctors, he was treated with a very rare form of bone cancer, called Ewing’s Sarcoma. In the USA the statistics for this cancer is 2.1 out of every 1,000,000 children or adolescents. Ewing’s Sarcoma occurs very rarely in adults over the age of 30. The family is receiving a lot of financial, emotional and physical support from family,

friends and even strangers. A need has been identified to make the community more aware of children’s cancer as well as to assist the family directly. The immediate need is to teach the community things like what the difference is between blood and blood platelets, which blood types can donate platelets as well as the function of the white blood cells.
