Northridge Round Table 117 Located in Johannesburg, South Africa – Northridge is the 117th Round Table club chartered within the Round Table Southern Africa (RTSA).

The club’s inaugural meeting was held on the 18th of January 1965 and its charter issued by ARTSA on the 25th of February 1966. The sponsoring clubs were RT Florida 21 and RT Johannesburg North 71. Northridge is one of 14 active Round Table Clubs within the Greater Johannesburg (Gauteng) Area www.roundtablegauteng.org and a member of the Round Table Southern Africa www.roundtablesa.co.za with approximately 140 active clubs in South Africa and Namibia. RT Northridge 117 in turn sponsored the chartering of 3 other Johannesburg clubs namely RT Kyalami 203, RT Jukskei 217 (Randburg) and RT Honeydew 271. In addition, Northridge Tabler Gerhard Greyling was the driving force behind re-chartering RT Boksburg 17 in 2010 which had become dormant. The club is named after its service area, the residential suburbs of Northcliff and Randpark Ridge, located in the North-Western sector of Johannesburg. The club’s logo is a Strelitzia reginae or “Bird of Paradise”, a well-known indigenous South African flowering plant often seen in South African gardens. Northcliff Ridge is the second highest topographic feature in Johannesburg at 1,807 meters and a well-known landmark in South Africa’s largest city.

From finishing off with a Round Table 117 Numbers Meeting at La Rochelle in France, to attending the RTI World Meeting in Piacenza, Italy, and making memories with friends and family abroad it’s certainly a year to remember!

Chris, thank you for everything you have contributed to Round Table. Here’s to celebrating 40 years of life, friendship, adventure and fellowship!

🌊 KIDS TO THE SEA 2026 🌊

For some of us, seeing the ocean is an everyday experience. For these incredible kids, it was a first and one they will never forget. ❤️

Round Table 117 Northridge spent 4 unforgettable days in Margate, giving these children the opportunity to experience the sea, make memories, and simply enjoy being kids.

A massive thank you to Round Table Margate 46 and their families for going above and beyond with the arrangements and for hosting an incredible Christmas party. You helped create an experience of a lifetime one for the books! 🎄🌊

🌊 KIDS TO THE SEA 🌊

Round Table 117 Northridge is taking underprivileged children to the coast to experience something many of them have never had the opportunity to do seeing the ocean and feeling the sand beneath their feet. ❤️

We’re asking our community to pledge towards a part of the experience whether it’s transport, meals, accommodation or activities.

Every pledge brings us one step closer to giving these kids a memory they’ll never forget. 🏖️
