Press Statement
Issued by the Ubuntu Human Rights Foundation

Johannesburg, South Africa — April 14, 2025

The Ubuntu Human Rights Foundation stands firm in its commitment to protecting the rights and dignity of every child. Today, we address the deeply troubling issue of child abuse, including the crime of pe******ia. Pe******ia is recognized as a psychiatric disorder characterized by an adult or older adolescent's primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children. While understanding the clinical definition is important, it must never overshadow the urgency of safeguarding our children from harm.

As an organization rooted in the principles of Ubuntu—humanity towards others—we believe that the safety and well-being of children are paramount. We call upon communities, institutions, and individuals to unite in vigilance, education, and action. Reporting suspicious behavior, supporting survivors, and holding perpetrators accountable are essential steps in creating a society where every child can thrive without fear.

Let us reaffirm our collective responsibility to protect the innocence and future of our children. Together, we can build a world where justice prevails and humanity flourishes.

Call to Action: Join Our Court Case to Stop Mineral Exports

The Ubuntu Human Rights Foundation is calling on all communities who have been affected by the theft of royalties from mining activities to join our court case. We are seeking an urgent interdict to stop all mineral exports from South Africa until our issues are resolved.

As you may be aware, the theft of minerals and royalties has had a devastating impact on local communities, causing significant economic, environmental, and social harm. Despite numerous attempts to engage with the government and mining companies, our concerns have fallen on deaf ears.

Our court case seeks to hold the government and mining companies accountable for their failure to protect our rights and ensure that we receive fair compensation for the minerals extracted from our lands.

We invite all communities who have been affected by the theft of royalties to join us in this fight for justice. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that our rights are respected and protected.

How to Join:

If you are a member of a community that has been affected by the theft of royalties, please contact us at [insert contact details]. We will provide you with more information on how to join our court case.

Let us stand together and fight for our rights!
