Debt Counsellors Association of South Africa (DCASA) Welcome to the Debt Counselling Association of South Africa's FaceBook Page.

On this page we will keep you up to date with industry happenings, and provide links to the DCASA Website where you can access loads of information regarding industry issues. All DCASA members subscribe to a code of conduct, ensuring high ethical standards that will maintain the integrity of the Debt Counselling industry. Since 2007, when the National Credit Act was promulgated, DCASA has been contributing significantly to the industry by engaging with industry stake holders such as the National Credit Regulator, The Department of Trade and Industry, Credit Providers and Credit Bureaus. It is DCASA’s aim to develop a streamlined debt counselling industry by setting standards and training members, providing them with various products and services that will allow them to effectively and professionally deliver a service to over indebted consumers.

Debt Review Awards | Industry Engagement 💚💛

Stronger industry relationships. A shared vision for debt review.

DCASA attended the Debt Review Awards Pre-Meeting, joining industry stakeholders in discussions focused on the debt review landscape, recognising progress made, and exploring opportunities to strengthen the industry going forward.

As the voice of debt counsellors, DCASA values platforms that encourage meaningful engagement, constructive dialogue and collaboration between all role players in the credit industry.

A sustainable debt review industry depends on more than individual efforts. It requires a shared commitment to fairness, accountability and solutions that benefit both consumers and the professionals who serve them.

Building Relationships, Strengthening Our Industry! 🤝

DCASA recently had the pleasure of visiting industry stakeholders at their offices for a series of meet-and-greet sessions. These engagements provided a valuable opportunity to get to know one another better, strengthen professional relationships, and share more about DCASA’s role in representing and supporting debt counsellors across South Africa.

It was a pleasure connecting with:

Zero Debt , Debt Care, Vantage Debt, Debt Busters and Old Mutual– for a welcoming and engaging visit.

Meaningful engagement and open communication are essential to building a stronger, fairer and more collaborative credit industry. By creating opportunities to connect, share perspectives and understand one another’s roles, we can continue working towards positive outcomes for debt counsellors, credit providers and consumers alike.

Thank you to everyone who welcomed us and took the time to engage with DCASA. We look forward to building on these relationships and continuing the conversations!
