As part of ALA’s University Guidance process, our students have the opportunity to engage directly with universities from around the world. This enables them to explore the many pathways available to them after ALA!

We are grateful to have recently welcomed Bocconi University, Central University of Technology, City University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Education University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Saint Mary’s University, the University of Fort Hare, and the University of Johannesburg to campus.

The presentations and conversations helped our students gain a deeper look into the possibilities that await them beyond ALA. Thank you to all the universities that took the time to engage with our students!

At ALA, leadership is practiced as much as it is taught. Our Student Government elections are supervised by a student-led Electoral Supervisory Council, allowing students to engage in a voting process that is grounded in fairness and accountability!

From candidate debates and campaigns to voting, the experiences give our students firsthand insight into ethical and democratic leadership.

Last year’s Africa Day celebration brought together students to reflect on issues shaping Africa’s present and future.

With last year’s theme centred on bringing ideas to light, the event highlighted the importance of giving students a platform to share research, creativity, and solutions that can shape the continent’s future.

As we look back on these meaningful conversations, we now look forward with excitement to this year’s Africa Day celebrations. Keep an eye out for what’s coming next as we continue building on the spirit of unity and learning🌍
