Young riders, this one’s for you! Join us at BORC on 24 October for a day of racing, fun and some seriously good prizes!

🏍️ 2 x Husqvarna TC50 motorcycles up for grabs, plus 2027 MSA Club Licences and more!

Entry fee: Just R200 per rider.

New to racing? No problem! This event is aimed at riders who have competed in no more than one Regional or National event. Come and give it a go!

MEET THE MARSHALS: THE PEOPLE WHO KEEP RACING ROLLING! 🏁

🚩 FLAGS UP! EYES ON THE TRACK! READY FOR ACTION!

NO MARSHALS, NO RACING! 👀

Marshals are a vital part of every motorsport event. From displaying flag signals and responding to incidents to clearing vehicles and debris, they help keep competitors, officials and spectators safe.

📻 Keeping Race Control informed?
🔥 Responding to incidents?
🛠️ Helping clear the track?
🚩 Making sure competitors get the right signals?

That's our marshals on the job! They also help manage pit lane, paddock and spectator areas, depending on their role.

🏁 WANT TO JOIN THE TEAM?

You don't need years of motorsport experience to get started! MSA's National Marshal Training Programme is helping develop the next generation of marshals across South Africa.

Know a youngster who wants to get into Enduro? This is the perfect place to start! 🌿

The MSA Mini-E Junior Enduro Training Day, proudly supported by the FIM, is all about developing young riders, building confidence and introducing new faces to the sport.

Whether you are a junior rider with some experience or keen to get involved for the first time, this is a great opportunity to learn, get more seat time and enjoy riding in a supportive environment.

📍 VENUE: Kabodhi Mountain Retreat, Grabouw

💰 ENTRY: R300 per junior rider

Before the lights go out and the racing begins, someone needs to check that vehicles and protective gear meet the required safety standards! 🏎️🏍️

Meet the Scrutineers, the officials who carry out safety checks on competing vehicles and protective clothing to help ensure they meet the relevant safety requirements.

From cars and motorcycles to karts and quads, their work plays an important role in keeping competitors safe at motorsport events. 🏁

💡 DID YOU KNOW? You don't necessarily need an engineering qualification to become a Scrutineer! An eye for detail, an interest in how things work and a willingness to learn are a great place to start.

🏁 CHAMPIONS CROWNED AT ZWARTKOPS

The 2026 National Extreme Festival crowned several champions at Zwartkops Raceway, with Julian van der Watt, Jason Loosemore, Aqil Alibhai and Sebastian Dias securing their respective titles! 🏆

Kobus Reynecke, Nabil Abdool and Devon Scott also claimed championship honours, while Damion Purificati secured the SunBet ZX10 Masters title with one round to spare.

The Astron Energy Polo Cup, Polo Cup Masters and Dunlop Extreme Supercars titles will be decided at their respective finales in November.

🏁 BOTHA WINS ROAD TO DAKAR CHALLENGE

Philip Botha and navigator Andries “Stompie” Mynhardt have won the Road to Dakar Challenge at the VAPS HCV Vryheid 400, earning a free entry to the 2028 Dakar Rally valued at approximately R600,000! 🏆

From a racing novice to competing at the front of the SA T1+ class, Botha’s journey reflects years of dedication and consistent performances with Red-Lined Motorsport.

He and Mynhardt will also head into the season finale in Thabazimbi still in contention for the national SA T1+ title.

Guy Botterill and navigator Henry Köhne claimed their third consecutive victory at the VAPS HCV Vryheid 400, securing Botterill’s first South African Rally-Raid Overall Drivers’ Championship title! 🇿🇦🏆

With several driver, navigator and class titles still up for grabs, the 2026 season will go down to the wire at the final round in Thabazimbi on 13–14 November.
