For Immediate Release!!!

An update of our 9th August Women's Day Event at the Davidsonville Tennis Court with MMC Anthea Lietch(Human Settlement).

Our Event was a huge success and in attendance was a very diverse group of ladies from Davidsonville. From the Young to the Middle -aged and Old came out to support MMC Lietch on the day. Ms Lietch addressed the issue of GBV and also encouraged our Women to step up in life, pointing out that she's a Young woman who's interested in empowering other Women.

On the day she promised our communities lady's that she would be back with some veggies and on the 1st of September our MMC delivered!

Our ladies was very impressed by MMC Lietch and her Team for stepping up and we Pray God's blessings over her life and that of her powerful TeamπŸ’«πŸ’«.

We pray Psalms 91 over their lives always. May MMC and her Team enjoy life's journey on this path and wherever God is taking them on this political road in the future πŸ™πŸ½.

As was said by Ms Chantell Coulter(Founder of Naledi People's Centre) to MMC Lietch and her Team: Politics is very unstable, but we're serving a God who is STEADFAST πŸ’«πŸ’«πŸ’«.

We have seen the Heart of MMC Lietch and her willingness to serve the people on the ground!!

Forever in our prayers πŸ™‡πŸ½β€β™‚οΈ

THE TRUTH ABOUT PINEAPPLES 🍍🍍

By: Chantell Coulter
GBV and COMMUNITY ACTIVIST ✊🏾(Roodepoort)

Well, I'm sure alot of people never knew this pineapple truth 🍍.... relax and read, neither did I.

As I was planning our Organisation's GBV event from a Cultural Perspective (Heritage Day), I was wondering what I should have as center pieces on our tables and on the 20th of September 2022 the Pineapple just hit my Spirit hard✊🏾.

I was like: God you've got the weirdest ways of revealing things to me, but I'm gameπŸ€”.

And then my research began, only to find out: A PINEAPPLE IS NEITHER A PINE NOR AN APPLE, BUT A GROUP OF BERRIES THAT GREW INTO ONE FRUIT (A MULTIPLE FRUIT)😱

So, the pineapple is not one, but a multiple fruit or a collective fruit. What a shocking, yet pleasant surpriseπŸ˜‰.

This truth could not have revealed itself at a better time, cause like many of us, I never knew this.

I used the PINEAPPLE in our Dialogue as representative of both victims and survivors of GBV. Here goes...

Victim: The pineapple has a very prickly and ugly crown and it hurts touching the pineapple.. And like with most victims, not everybody is fascinated with pineapples. It's known to be a tropical fruit, which means better enjoyed on an island (in isolation like most victims).

Survivor: Pineapples are enjoyed by it's lovers, when layer by layer it's thick skin are peeled off and it's prickly crown are removed, cause most people want to get to the fruit of it And enjoy the: "Something inside so Strong". And just like survivors, it's the best fruit ever for some and has many healing benefits πŸ™‚ .

The Pineapple is also a reflection of our Cultural Diversity then!🀞🏾🀞🏾. Just like the different BERRIES that grew into this ONE MULTIPLE FRUIT, as SOUTH AFRICANS we should learn to Grow and Embrace our UNITY IN DIVERSITY πŸ‘ŒπŸ½.

The Pineapple in itself is a true reflection of SOCIAL COHESION πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ»πŸ‘ŠπŸ½πŸ‘ŠπŸΏ.

The Pineapple also reminded me of the GREATEST PEOPLE OF ALL TIME: THE COLOURED/KHOISAN PEOPLE(MY OWN).

While everyone else say we don't have a culture, we are the one's who know that we are Make out of the San,Nama, Griqua,Korana, Oorlams Khoi, Basters(Like different BERRIES) who Grew into this ONE POWERFUL NATION THAT CAN UNITE NATIONS.πŸ’«βœŠπŸΎπŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦.

So... in a nutshell, if you had one pineapple, you had a Fruitsalad 😜.

Hope you enjoyed the Truth about the PINEAPPLE 🍍🍍🍍🍍.

For immediate Release!!!

An update of our 24 September 2022 GBV event from a Cultural Perspective.

This event was a great success, as the message is out and this programme will be rolled out in different provinces, however this time around we will have men taking the lead in these Dialogues.

We have come to the realization that men are actually been excluded from most discussions of GBV and hence it leaves our communities in crippling conditions.

Salute to the few men who attended our Worksop in Davidsonville (West Rand) on Heritage day 2022. Bishop Eugene Sinclair, Jairzhino Marcus and the Photographer, Mr Maartens.

Our Speakers were extremely good in representing their different Cultures (MMC Gareth Brown and Mrs Ellen Oosthuyzen from the Khoisan/Coloured and White Community). Mrs Ellery Booth from the Davidsonville Synergistic Covenant Network Youth Center was an excellent Facilitator in the event.

A special thank you to every person who contributed in making this event happen.

All our Love and blessing.
