Every season brings new faces to endurance, and every season, a few riders start to make their mark.

This year, we recognise Emma Schwerin, Bea Henegan & Victoria Brakhoff - three riders who are a bit newer to the sport but have already shown commitment, determination and exciting potential.

Their endurance journeys are only just beginning, but the foundations are being laid and the progress is there to see. We look forward to watching these riders continue to develop, take on new challenges and see just how far their passion and potential can take them.

Three riders to watch. Three exciting journeys ahead.

Congratulations, Emma, Bea & Victoria — we can't wait to see what your new season holds! 🐎✨

Some riders bring more than their horses to a ride - they bring a smile, a helping hand and a genuine love for the horse, the sport and the people around them.

This year, the Friendliest Riders Award goes to sisters Haneefa & Naqueebah Fredericks — two riders who embody the warmth, kindness and camaraderie that makes our endurance community so special.

Always ready with a smile, a friendly word and a helping hand, these two are a wonderful reminder that endurance is about so much more than the kilometres and the results. It is about the friendships, the people and the community we build along the way.

Congratulations, Haneefa & Naqueebah! 💛

Thank you for bringing your wonderful spirit to every ride and for making the endurance community a friendlier place to be. 🐎

Speed alone does not define endurance riding. The true challenge lies in combining pace with terrain difficulty while still ensuring horse welfare, efficient management, and successful veterinary outcomes.

Congratulations to our 2025-2026 Fastest Corrected Speed recipients:
🏆 80km – Louis Botha & ALN Boogaloo | 26.95 km/h
🏆 100km – Lara Le Roux & Areli Silver S***t | 24.87 km/h
🏆 120km – Lara Le Roux & Lochiem Camino | 23.56 km/h
🏆 160km – Christiaan Perold & Beaconfield Gunner | 23.10 km/h

These performances reflect outstanding preparation, exceptional horse management, and partnerships operating at the highest level.
Congratulations on setting the pace for the season.

Every successful endurance ride has a dedicated groom working tirelessly behind the scenes.

Congratulations to Jurie Badenhorst, WCERA's 2026 Groom of the Year.

Known for his calm approach, wealth of experience, and unwavering commitment to horse and rider, Jurie is always willing to do whatever is needed to help a partnership safely reach the finish line. His contribution to our sport often happens away from the spotlight, but it never goes unnoticed.

A very deserving recipient of this year's award.
