π€π FAURESMITH 2026 π€π
Fauresmith has always been a ride that demands everything from both horse and rider. This year was no different. Bitterly cold conditions, a challenging track and long kilometers tested every partnership from start to finish.
A huge congratulations to Julia de K**k & Syferpan Starlight on successfully completing one of South Africaβs toughest endurance rides. An incredible achievement that reflects months of dedication, preparation, perseverance and an exceptional partnership between horse and rider. Well done on an outstanding achievement! π

To the rest of our GREC riders who, unfortunately, didnβt get the finish they had hoped for: we are just as proud of you!
Endurance is about far more than crossing the finish line. Itβs about making the right decisions for your horse, knowing when to push and when to put their wellbeing first. Every kilometer you rode, every challenge you faced and every decision you made showed courage, sportsmanship and true horsemanship.
Not every ride ends with a completion, but every ride teaches us something. The strength to get back up, learn and return stronger is what makes endurance riders who they are.
At GREC, we donβt only celebrate the victoriesβwe celebrate the dedication, resilience and heart it takes to stand on that start line in the first place.
As weβve said all season, is more than a hashtag. Itβs Gees, Family, Friends and Fun. Our riders lived those valuesβsupporting one another through the tough moments, putting their horses first, embracing the challenge and proudly representing Garden Route Endurance Club.
To every rider, groom, family member and supporter who braved the freezing temperatures and stood together through every high and lowβthank you for showing what the spirit truly means.
Welcome home, Team GREC. Hold your heads high. We couldnβt be prouder of each and every one of you and we know youβll come back even stronger.
