Isn’t it amazing that something small can mean big things to other people? We are a tiny organization being run by a handful of volunteers communicating and supporting another dozen volunteers and staff located 4,000 miles away. None of it is possible without the financial, in-kind and volunteer support we receive from people here in the US, Rotary members here and abroad as well as the many friends we’ve met along the way.
Well, we are more than grateful for all the support we’ve enjoyed from our supporters, individuals like you, who are willing to get behind the notion that poverty and hunger can be alleviated. Efforts to improve health, access to resources, self-esteem and even get a little help with things like homework, gross motor skills, computer literacy and leadership development are just a few of the pathways we’ve utilized to help children.
We have given many thanks for our supporters, as each and every one of you have invested in our mission to support healthy children in order to build healthy communities. We work to nourish young minds, providing an engaging structure with a variety of initiatives, while providing peace and hope with our programming at The Richmond Community Center and the surrounding Karoo region of South Africa.
As we continue to grow, we make additions each year to our outreach efforts because of the unwavering support of so many. The need is great and we are extraordinarily grateful to have partners in Richmond who work to implement the day-to-day programs including our Soup Kitchen, E-Learning Center, Library and Sports programs, not to mention outreach to the nearby Squatters Camp.
As the year winds down, help us spread hope and joy and gratitude–please consider making a special end-of-year donation to Hope in South Africa (https://donorbox.org/hisa-cycle-for-hope-2025-campaign-hope-in-south-africa). Your investment will kickstart our 2026 campaign.
Many thanks for all you do to make this work possible! We are most appreciative!
