Good day Residents.

House burglaries are picking up everywhere in Richards Bay.
Please make sure you have beams on the outside your house and that they are activated at all times..

Also if possible, have a dog as these two are anearly warning signals that there could be an intruder in your yard. This will also alert the neighbours.

Make sure your windows have burglar bars. Don't leave windows open, as they use long poles with hooks to help themselves to anything they can reach through the window.

Have your alarm tested regularly.

Report any suspicious activity on your CPF Crime group

Good day residents.Please be careful when approached at any garages or shopping centers....we just had 2 cases in 1 hour...2 bravo males acting like they know you but instead their intentions are to rob you...2 people were victims of this operation...they are currently driving in a white vw polo, fattish tall guy wearing shorts and a cream/white golfer, the second guy is short but not clear on what he was wearing. This happened at the Brackenham Astron garage and the Shell Alton KFC garage. If seen please contact SAPS or CPF.

Safety tip for the day

Please make sure your car doors are locked at all times. Especially:

Whilst driving.
Stopping at stop streets or robots.

Please make sure that your windows are only open a few centimeters if needed so that no hand can fit through.

When you're driving through a "drive through", also make sure that all windows are closed and doors are locked.

This is where criminals can take advantage and either get into your vehicle or rob you.
