UHDC The UHDC is a Hindu organisation and a registered NPO with the Department of Social Development, based in Richards Bay, South Africa.

The organisation was formed out of concern for the rapid decline in our numbers due to conversion to other faiths. Our objective is to identify contributing factors that lead to this decline, and implement sustainable solutions. The UHDC is non-denominational, and transcends all possible barriers by which Hindus are divided. Our key focus areas are:
1. Hindu youth development(We have a Hindu yout

h movement since 2009 with approximately 60 youth in attendance weekly.
2. Hindu Women Empowerment(We have a women's committee in place that seek to spiritually empower Hindu women through weekly prayer meetings and "Arts and Crafts" classes, annual hosting of "Hindu Womens Day of Prayer").
3. Free book distribution(We distribute Bhagavad Gitas, Thirukkurrals and Ramayanas free of charge)
4. We create seva initiatives for Hindus to participate in.(Weekly School Feeding Program; Monthly distribution of grocery hampers to the indigent -"Hampers of Hope"; annual "Senior Citizens Appreciation Day"; annual "Wellness Day"; annual Deepavalli - Light up a Life" initiative)
