Box of Blessings 2026 Update!
We are so grateful for every person who has already chosen a child and committed to being part of our Box of Blessings 2026 initiative.

At the moment, we still have 165 children left to choose from.

If you would still like to be part of this special Christmas project, please reach out to us so we can send you the information and help you choose a child.

Every box makes a difference. Every gift carries love. Every child deserves to feel seen, remembered and cared for this Christmas.

Thank you to everyone walking this journey with us and helping us bring joy to little hearts through Box of Blessings.

THE SIDE OF CHARITY PEOPLE DON’T SEE ❤️

Everyone is quick to blame a charity for doing wrong, left, right and centre.

“The homeless are here because of them.”
“The crime is here because of them.”
“The streets are a mess because of them.”
“The charity didn’t give everything to one person.”
“The charity should have done more.”

The charity gets blamed over and over again.

But the truth is, government services have failed many people and that is exactly why charities are needed.

It is incredibly easy to destroy the name and reputation of a charity with a few careless comments when you don’t know the facts.

So next time you have something to say, or something you want to ask…

CALL THE CHARITY. ASK. FIND OUT THE FACTS.

Don’t just assume.

Because what people don’t see is what happens behind the scenes.

Every single day is an emotional roller coaster. We hear heartbreaking stories over and over again. We see people at their lowest. We have to make difficult decisions. We have to tell people, “I’m sorry, we can’t help you.”

We also have to spend time trying to identify scammers who contact us from different phone numbers, email addresses and accounts and then deal with people who demand help as though it is something they are automatically entitled to.

The abuse that charity workers experience daily is rarely spoken about.

The abuse from members of the public.
The abuse directed at officials and organisations.
The abuse towards staff.
The constant criticism from people who don’t know the full story.

And yet, every single day, we jump at the drop of a hat.

Not because we have to.

Because we care.

We do it with a smile, even when we are exhausted.

Even when our own families are waiting at home.

People don't see the evenings we miss. The moments we don't get back. The times we should be tucking our children into bed, sitting on the floor playing, or simply being present with our families but instead we're running out the door to help someone, or sitting behind a phone trying to respond to someone who is desperately trying to find a little bit of light in a very dark situation.

People don't see that.

But they are very quick to point fingers.

This week alone has been heavy. Very heavy.

And guess what?

We do it day in and day out.

And despite everything…

We would do it all again.

Because somewhere along the way, someone needs us.

Someone needs a meal.
Someone needs a safe place.
Someone needs someone to listen.
Someone needs a little hope.

And that's why we keep going.

But the truth is…

It can be an incredibly lonely journey while surrounded by so many people.

So before you judge a charity, before you share an assumption, before you make a comment that could damage years of work…

Ask. Call. Find out the facts.

Because behind every charity are real people, real families, real sacrifices and real hearts.

And we're tired.

But we still care. ❤️

Our hearts are so full of gratitude. 💛

A sincere thank you to every single person who contributed and helped make this special Pay It Forward initiative possible.

Together with Omgee Harte, Walk in Faith had the privilege of putting together and handing out care bags to the Oncology Centre. Every item, every contribution, and every act of kindness helped make a real difference.

Thank you for helping us bring a little comfort, love, and encouragement to those who need it most. Your generosity reminded us once again that when a community comes together with compassion, beautiful things happen.

We appreciate each and every one of you for being part of this meaningful initiative and for helping us make a difference in the lives of others.

Thank you for caring. Thank you for giving. Thank you for making a difference.

Month end is around the corner, and for many families, this is one of the hardest times of the month.

Walk in Faith is collecting food items to help support families on our database who are currently facing difficult circumstances.

We are kindly asking for donations of non-perishable food items such as rice, maize meal, pasta, oats, sugar, tea, coffee, tinned foods, soup packets, noodles, long-life milk, peanut butter, jam and any pantry essentials.

Every tin, every packet and every small act of kindness helps us put food on a table and bring hope to a family in need.

To donate or arrange a drop-off, please contact us.

Thank you for helping us care for our community.
