Myburgh E.S.T continued to contribute positively towards saps crime prevention operations this week in a roadblock & crime prevention activities on the West Rand of Gauteng.......special attention was also given to the scourge of illegal immigrants and illicit miners.

Yet another attempt to find closure for the family of missing teen, Fazel Benns was made today in collaboration with Teams from our E.S.T & the mines ground stability & footprint reduction departments as well as SAPS Search & Rescue team.

The boy has been missing since Feb 15, while the family has been anxiously waiting on possible news from authorities.

Today we attempted to drain the stagnant water & debris in the unused mine shaft to try and make the possible recovery a bit easier for the teams.

We would like to acknowledge everyone involved in today's operation & wish you our Best wishes moving forward in your respective endeavors.

Freedom day yesterday, 27April was commemorated @ Constitutional hill....where our Awareness Campaign against Human Trafficking & kidnapping was also highlighted....as Trafficking in persons goes against our constitutional rights of dignity & freedom.

Protest against bail outside Randfontein magistrates court on Monday 13/04/2026.

The 2 suspects linked to the abduction & killing of 21yr old Ashley and kidnapping of Fazel (17) (still missing) will appear for a formal bail application again on Monday 20/04/2026 @ Randfontein court.The 2 accused persons remains in custody and the families & concerned community members will once more come out to have their cry heard by protesting against bail for such brutality.

The lifeless body of Ashley was recovered from an unused mine shaft just days after his abduction while Fazel (17) still remains missing.

We are in contact with Sibanye-Stillwater management to give that mine shaft the attention it deserves as we are hopefull in recovering the missing 17yr old.

Today we stood in solidarity with the family of the abducted & murdered 21yr old boy-and the missing 17yr old @ Randfontein Magistrates Court.....During February"2026 the 21yr olds lifeless body was recovered in an unused mine shaft a few days after his abduction & the 17yr old is still missing.

Community & family members protested against the granting of bail for the 2 accused persons in this matter.

The matter will be heard again on 20April when they will be applying for bail.

As part of our E.S.T's continued efforts for a safer neighborhood....members conducted inspections at a vandalized house in Asteroid Street, where some illicit items including 3 × live rounds of pump action cartridges were found.....similar to ammo found a few weeks ago @ another property in the area.

We urge community members to be proactive & Supportive of community safety efforts.

Team members came across another 6 pump action cartridges (6bullets =6 lives) that could have caused severe damage & possible fatalities.....soon we'll have a success regarding the home made instrument used to discharge these rounds.
