Prayer Against Substance Abuse prayer against drugs and alcohol abuse

02/01/2025

Having a loved one in the grips of addiction can be overwhelming. Sometimes the best help we can offer is to pray.

02/01/2025

Lord, I pray that You would keep (name of child) free from any addiction – especially to alcohol or drugs. Make her (him) strong in You, draw her (him) close and enable her (him) to put You in control of her (his) life.
In Jesus' name I pray.

1 Corinthians 1v 3-4
Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts and encourages us in every trouble so that we will be able to comfort and encourage those who are in any kind of trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

...pray without ceasing..." (I Thessalonians 5:17 NKJV)
Prayer is having a conversation with God. It is talking with Him, seeking His face and His will for our lives.

But there’s far more to life for us. We’re citizens of high heaven! (Philippians 3:20 MSG)

One of the biggest lies the enemy tells us as Christians is that we are not allowed to have fun... He tells us we need to obey rules and regulations, otherwise God will turn His back on us.

The truth is that God's grace empowers us to say no to sin, the truth is He will never leave us nor forsake us... no matter what! A life with Jesus is filled with more excitement than anything else on this earth!

Experience Life with Jesus... you will never look back!

You who are young, be happy while you are young,
and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth.
Follow the ways of your heart
and whatever your eyes see,
but know that for all these things
God will bring you into judgment.
10 So then, banish anxiety from your heart
and cast off the troubles of your body,
for youth and vigor are meaningless.
ECCLESIASTES 11V9-10
What you do when you're young does matter. Enjoy your life now BUT don't do anything physically, morally or spiritual that will prevent you from enjoying life when you're old.
When you go to chapter 12 it says remember your Creator in the days of your youth.
Youth, bantwana bam a life without God is meaningless njee.🙌🙌🙌

Verse: Psalm 147:3

‘HE heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds.’

- The Lord is the only One Who can come and restore us completely.
- He specialises in restoration and healing.
- He steps into our lives to heal our pain and comfort our sorrow.
- He is close to the broken-hearted and rescues those who are crushed in spirit.

PRAYER: Lord, it is only You Who knows what I carry in my heart. It is only You Who can come and restore me and heal me of my scars. Touch me, I pray, and make me whole again. Amen.

1 John 4 v 4

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 5 They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit[a] of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
